🌟 Final Year Project - End Semester Evaluation 🌟
I am thrilled to share my experiences and reflections on completing my Final Year Project (FYP) for AY2024 Semester 1. This semester marked my Year 3, Semester 1, and as part of the curriculum, I embarked on this significant project. My journey included participating in the PolyFintech Hackathon, which added an extra layer of challenge and excitement.
🚀 Project Overview: The project spanned from Weeks 1 to 12, a roller coaster ride of intense learning and growth. Initially, from Weeks 1 to 7, we focused primarily on research, but our progress was slow, and concerns arose. It was during the first week of the June Term Break that my teammates and I, along with our supervisor, discussed our business solution addressing the issue in the PolyFintech problem statement: Regulatory Technology to prevent elderlies from getting scammed.
📚 Learning Journey: The project demanded extensive research and independent learning beyond our current curriculum. Despite the stress and the race against time, I found myself working late nights nearly every day, including during the whole of June Break, even till 4 or 5 am, balancing co-curricular events and project deadlines. This journey taught me invaluable lessons about perseverance and resilience.
🙏 Gratitude: I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to:
Ms. Magdalene (Magdalene Lim), our supervisor, for her unwavering guidance and support throughout the FYP.
Ms. Jolene (Jolene Chiam), for her valuable advice and constructive feedback during the mid-semester evaluation, and for casually checking in on my team's progress throughout the project.
Ms. Kavitha (Kavitha Muniraj), for her constructive feedback, which will be instrumental as we prepare for the PolyFintech category finals in a month.
Your advice and feedback have been incredibly valuable, and I took everything into detail right after evaluation to improve on it immediately as we prepare for PolyFintech Category finals. I am deeply grateful for your support.
Regardless of the module grade outcome, I have tried my 100% best and am proud of my team based on what we have achieved. This project was a test of endurance, dedication, and teamwork, and it has been a remarkable journey. I look forward to applying the skills and knowledge gained in future endeavors.
