If you are looking for exciting challenges and opportunities at a fast growing hi-tech startup, please ping me.
OEMs have always been good at allowing for physical vehicle customizations but delivering the personalized experience consumers seek requires a different approach. 🚗💡How to create car experiences that customers love: Software-Defined Vehicles and Tech Product Management💡🚗 The future of mobility is here with software-defined vehicles (SDVs). By embracing product management practices from successful tech companies, we can transform SDV projects through rapid prototyping, CI/CD, and OTA (over-the-air) updates. Rapid Prototyping: Faster Innovation Quickly develop and test new features, bringing cutting-edge innovations to market faster and aligning closely with user needs. CI/CD: Seamless Software Releases Automate testing and deployment to ensure vehicles always run the latest software, enhancing performance, safety, and user experience. OTA Updates: Future-Proof Vehicles Deliver software upgrades remotely, continuously improving vehicle capabilities without the need for dealership visits. New Monetization Streams SDVs open up new revenue opportunities through subscription-based features, in-car apps, and data-driven services, driving continuous value for both manufacturers and consumers. Embracing these practices will boost SDV projects and drive the automotive industry towards a smarter, more connected future. 🚀 #SoftwareDefinedVehicle #FutureOfMobility

2moIs personalization really the biggest driver of SDV value though? E.g. the iPhone disrupted the handheld market because you could make it do an ever evolving number of things, not because you could customize it. SDVs offer similar value and disruption over the status quo due to their feature enhancements and performance improvements. Obviously this too requires a software-first approach.
