At our weekly staff meeting, we were discussing what we wanted to share in the weeks leading up to the election. Now that early voting has started in North Carolina, we thought we'd share a few voting reminders and then we came across this video. Rachel is right. Voting alone isn't enough. With only 11 days left, the final push is here and there's still work to do. ✅ If you haven't voted yet, make sure you have a plan. The next 11 days are going to go by fast. ✅ When you do vote, contact some of the people in your life and remind them to vote. Every vote matters, especially in swing states like ours. ✅ Do your research and share important voting information with your networks. Are there amendments or bonds on your ballot this year? You can find a sample ballot online before you head to the polls so you know exactly what you’ll be voting for. ✅ There's still time to volunteer! Reach out to your local election headquarters and find out how you can help. Tell us what you're doing in the final two weeks and share your resources. We're all in this fight together.

New PracticallyPolitical with special guest Carla Sands. Hosts Dave Spencer and Carrie Sheffield welcome the former U.S. Ambassador to Denmark and U.S. Senate Candidate (R-PA) to debate the pros and cons of #earlyvoting. https://lnkd.in/eAN2aj5d Sands expresses concerns about the potential for fraud in mail-in voting systems, citing examples of countries that have banned the practice and recent testimony about irregularities in certain U.S. states. She also raises issues with recent changes to voting laws in her home state of Pennsylvania. On the other hand, co-host Dave Spencer argues that mail-in voting is safe and convenient, pointing to states like Oregon that have successfully implemented all-mail voting with low fraud rates. He suggests that expanding early voting options, including mail-in ballots, is important for increasing voter participation. While the two sides disagree on the extent of the problem and the best path forward, the discussion offers insights into the ongoing debate over election integrity and the future of voting in America. Tune in for a nuanced look at this complex and controversial issue. https://lnkd.in/eAN2aj5d
