Channel Marketing Group's Q1 Pulse of Lighting report was recently released with info on Q1, outlook for Q2, pricing insights, LEDucation feedback and more. The "more" also included observations from the recent Acuity Brands earnings report. All is in an article on ElectricalTrends, https://lnkd.in/e5Zu9wi4 While the lighting market continued to be down for manufacturers and reps, with a number of manufacturers reporting being down 10-15% but others flat / up, distributors, on average, were up ... most likely due to backlog shipments and being successful with "value-engineering oriented" lines. The positive ... Q2's outlook is more positive than Q1. The Acuity report was "interesting" in the sense of lack of sales commentary and more of an ops and cashflow focus. Not bad, just different. And their independent channel, overall, was down more than the overall market but probably less than their cohorts.
