Meet Eduard Zamfir next week at #ICML, Vienna!!! He will be presenting our work “See More Details: Efficient Image Super-Resolution by Experts Mining”next Wednesday 13:30, Hall C4-9 PS-4 poster 110. Takeaways: 1. Modulating at the low-dimension latent space can a good choice for efficient image super resolution. 2. There can be many low-dimension choices (c=2,4,8 etc can be all regarded as lower dimensions compared to C=64 or more). We show that it is possible, through a routing design, to learn all of them but only activate the most confident one during inference for speed-up. 3. ✨ Exciting news from the #BPM conference! ✨ Last week, I had the privilege of presenting my latest research titled "Improving Process Discovery Using Translucent Activity Relationships", co-authored by Wil van der Aalst. This work delves into an innovative approach within the realm of task mining and process discovery. Check the work out here: https://lnkd.in/eVnnU6zD In our work, we focus on translucent event logs that include not only executed activities but also enabled activities—those activities that could have been executed besides the ones that actually occurred. While translucent logs were not introduced in this work, we explored new ways of using them to improve process discovery. By embedding translucent activity relationships into the Inductive Miner algorithm, we discovered more accurate process models using fewer recordings. The introduced relationships can be used in multiple discovery algorithms. This is highly interesting when considering #generalization since we never see the whole system from which we get the data. I’m also excited to incorporate the feedback I received into an extended journal article for #ProcessScience.
