😓 Feeling exhausted before your day even starts? If the thought of going to work fills you with dread and even the simplest tasks feel tiring, you might be facing burnout—not just a temporary slump. When you're burned out, even responding to an email can drain your energy. Meetings leave you mentally wiped out, and no matter how hard you try, it feels like you’re never able to catch up. You end each day feeling like you’ve given everything, yet accomplished nothing. I’ve been there—dealing with brain fog, constant fatigue, and wondering why everything felt like such a struggle. For me, it was a combination of doing work that didn’t energise me or play on my strengths, poor sleep, and a diet that triggered mid-morning crashes. But there’s more: feeling lost in my career only added to the exhaustion. When you don’t feel connected to your work or find purpose in it, it can drain you emotionally and mentally. You start questioning, is this really what I’m supposed to be doing? If this resonates with you, it’s important to recognise these signs early and take steps to regain clarity and energy. I am back from a week in the stunning Scottish Highlands where I had the most incredible gift of eyesight, having made an almost full recovery. I am feeling very grateful. On Friday, I was involved in a freak accident and I lost my eyesight. After the most traumatic weekend of my life, and 30 hours of the most unbearable, excruciating pain, I am now recovering. Unfortunately, my eyesight has not fully returned yet. Everything is still fuzzy. It is taking a lot of time, and effort, and energy to write this. This morning, in spite of everything, I had a massive win in my business. Despite not being able to see fully. This gives me immense hope that it is all going to be ok, and that I can recover from this. Me posting this article today (written pre-accident) is evidence, that I won't give up and I am still ploughing on. Despite the fear of my eyesight not fully recovering. I will keep going. I am grateful that I can still see colour, and outlines, in a fuzzy world. I am grateful for my incredible mum who drove to the hospital at 3am to get me morphine and who lay by my side when I was unable to cope with the pain. I am grateful that my eyes do not looked scarred. I am grateful to every person who has sent me a message of support when I have gone through something that separates you from the rest of the world. I am grateful for my drive and resilience, and my commitment to myself to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. And to help others create this for themselves. I feel immense compassion for anyone that has experienced vision loss. It is nothing short of terrifying. I have also not stopped thinking about the people in Gaza, and around the world, who are enduring much worse injuries with zero pain relief. Something quite incredible has happened. The stars have aligned to enable me to launch my group career coaching programme in the next couple of months. 💫 (Yes, that is me climbing a steep cliff face, in Pembrokeshire 2 weeks ago.
