I may be 2 weeks out of date commenting on the launch 😎 but I want to share my notes from the Zanda Salary Guide launch webinar There was a really refreshing conversation about: - Team structuring - Salaries (by stage of growth, by country and by role) - The Fractional v In-House v Mix approaches you can take - The different roles; skills and experience on both the hirer and candidate sides - Non-salary reward options, including for non-employees It illuminated and emphasised that there has been an evolution in all of the above and that exciting new approaches can be embraced Andrew Duncans thoughts around the potential benefits of supporting the growth and development of your early joiners was very welcome and refreshing to hear: - A material risk can arise where the whole leadership team is at the same (“experienced”) point in their career - There is so much value in retaining the Head of Finance or VP who has grown-up in the business and has in-depth legacy business knowledge. By giving them mentorship and/or support through specific experiences (eg their first fundraise) rather than replacing them with an “experienced CFO” at the point the fundraise arises then you get to retain that business knowledge and expertise, provide a development opportunity to your employee, and save on the cost of hiring that “experienced CFO” if the time isn’t right.
