Blue staircase in our project Adam + Eve, with photos during the fabrication process 😊 The new blue steel staircase threads from the ground floor to the second floor, uniting the volume and creating an event in the access up to the top floor. The steel treads are welded together with all the welds ground smooth in order to create the appearance of a folded metallic paper suspended between the floors. The guardrail is made of stainless steel rods, bolted to each tread with the bolt head countersunk into the thickness of the tread to enhance the vision of a suspended folded sheet of paper. It was a real pleasure to work with @zedworksdesign for the fabrication of this complex metal staircase 👏🤩 We are thrilled that Adam + Eve, has been shortlisted in the Home Transformation of the Year (up to 2,500 sq ft) category in this year's British Homes Awards! @britishhomesawards #Sophie NguyenArchitects #BritishHomesAwards #BHA24 #HomeTransformation #Light #Architecture #Design #Spacious Sophie Nguyen Architects Architect Assistant: Alexandra Trasnea @ada.trasnea Structural Engineering: Graphic Structures @graphic.structures Main contractor: CAPE CONSTRUCTION Metal Staircase Fabrication: Zedworks Design @zedworksdesign

LinkedIn Post 1: "Drywall is just boring white walls" 🤔 WRONG. After 8 years in the industry, I can tell you it's an art form. Last week, I visited a project where we curved ceiling & Drywall into a stunning spiral staircase. The architect couldn't believe it wasn't custom-made concrete. What most people don't know: • Modern drywall can be soundproof 🤫 • It can mimic any texture • Some variants are actually bullet-resistant • It can be bent to create architectural masterpieces The future of construction isn't just concrete and steel. What's your biggest misconception about building materials? #Construction #Innovation #ArchitecturalDesign

Big shout out to all of our #architectural colleagues who love a big cantilever. It’s actually relatively simple to achieve features like this utilising steel structures which provide the perfect blend of stiffness to weight ratio. Just be sure to provide the engineer with sufficient depth for the members. We are currently working with Anotherkind Architects on a new leisure building at the Priory Centre, Worksop. A feature of the building is a 9m span, projecting roof canopy on the corner of the building, creating an impressive and welcoming focal point to the design. A steel truss structure has been incorporated within the soffit and once clad will provide the desired effect. The truss continues into the adjacent span to reduce bending in the supporting column. When adopting solutions like this it is important to consider the use of non slip connections so that real world deflections are as analysed. Also remember to think carefully about the errection sequence and any temporary works requirements early. In this case, erection in the direction away from the vertical braced bay will ensure stability ie. Erect braced bay, erect backspan, erect cantilever truss. Solutions like this are also possible in concrete, however long term deflections owing to creep will be critical, and achievable spans will be significantly less for equivalent structural depth due to increased material weight and much reduced stiffness of material. Temporary works will also be much more onerous. It’s all about selecting the right material and structural arrangement. A simple, yet effective solution to deliver the architectural vision. 🌟 Steel Dreams vs. Concrete Realities: The Architectural Symphony 🌟 In the realm of architectural wonders, where innovation meets tradition, the debate between Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) structures is both timeless and timely. At Rowstel, we celebrate the harmonious fusion of both. PEB: The Symphony of Speed and Flexibility 🎶 Pre-Engineered Buildings are the virtuosos of modern construction. Their lightweight frames dance effortlessly, offering swift assembly and unparalleled adaptability. Whether it’s a warehouse reaching for the skies or an industrial complex expanding its horizons, PEB structures compose a symphony of efficiency and elegance. 🎼 Rapid Assembly: Like a well-rehearsed orchestra, PEBs come together with precision, reducing construction time and costs. 🎻 Flexible Design: The modular nature of PEB allows for endless customization, ensuring your vision is crafted exactly as imagined. 🎷 Sustainable Harmony: PEBs embrace the green revolution, being eco-friendly and cost-effective. RCC: The Maestro of Strength and Stability 🏰 Reinforced Cement Concrete stands as a timeless maestro, conducting the strength and permanence required for enduring legacies. Its robust nature forms the backbone of skyscrapers and intricate architectural marvels. 🎺 Enduring Strength: RCC’s resilience underpins the tallest towers and most intricate designs, standing the test of time and elements. 🥁 Versatile Brilliance: From foundations to the finest details, RCC adapts to every structural challenge with grace and solidity. 🎨 Artistic Mastery: The versatility of RCC allows for stunning architectural expressions, sculpting spaces that inspire and awe. Rowstel: Crafting the Future with PEB 🌐 At Rowstel, we bridge the gap between these two titans of construction. Our expertise lies in understanding the nuances of both, bringing you the best of both worlds. Whether you seek the nimble elegance of PEB or the steadfast strength of RCC, we’re here to transform your architectural dreams into reality. 🔗 Connect with us and explore how we can elevate your next project with the perfect blend of PEB and RCC: Rowstel.com #Architecture #Construction #PEB #RCC #Engineering #Rowstel #Innovation #Sustainability

Concrete is susceptible to damage due to a number of factors. It is important that concrete structures are regularily inspected to ensure the structure remains safe. Exposed rebar or rust marks on concrete are an indicator that you should have a professional engineer review your structure. https://buff.ly/49AZIGs #engineering #design #architecture #construction #interiordesign #design #building #contractor #architecturaldesign #realestate #brockville #kingston #ottawa #cornwall #smithsfalls #gananoque #1000islands #easternontario #engineer #designer #ontario #build #diy #exterior #render #CAD #sketchup #landscape #surveying

In architecture and structural engineering, a space frame or space structure (3D truss) is a rigid, lightweight, truss-like structure constructed from interlocking struts in a geometric pattern. Space frames can be used to span large areas with few interior supports. Like the truss, a space frame is strong because of the inherent rigidity of the triangle; flexing loads (bending moments) are transmitted as tension and compression loads along the length of each strut. First the frame is woven on the foundation and then it is taken up by cranes as it is shown and then the columns are placed in their position while the space frame is held by cranes.

| Sabzevar Pars Steel Gateway | The organization system of a design that is supposed to act as an entrance of a complex, and intermediate space, where the users do not take part permanently and are passing through it like a covered pedestrian way, the form-functional system of this organization system should have specific character, because in addition to its main function as a connection space; it is an interface between a complex and the urban space visually and perceptually. It is often considered as a criterion for recognizing the architectural and social value and identity of that complex. So, the entrance is not only a connection space but also as a space complementary function. The character of this shared section is a responsible system to its functions at the same time has formal, identity and symbolic points for Sabzevar Pars steel complex. The architecture form of the project is like a shell with several folds which have triangular section. The different proportions and sizes of these folds, create form with various quality features in their lower space, that provide the possibility of the desired functions in a structural way. The organization system of the project is a dissected plan system that these sections are created with an interior landscape. Based on this, the plan has organized as an integrated part for entry and control hall, and two other parts on both sides of landscape to accommodate pre-entry and post-entry functions. . . . #architecture #architect #architects #architectural #architecturaldesign #archilovers #archdaily #architizer #dezeen #arts #designer #designers #design #factory #gatewaydesign #factorygatewaydesign #plan #site #revit #model #3D #render #onsideoffice #linkedin #iran
