On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved people learned they were free — over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation ended slavery. Juneteenth commemorates this symbolic day of Black liberation after centuries of bondage and oppression. While marking immense progress, Juneteenth reminds us of the African American community's resilience amid the arduous journey for civil rights and true equality. At SOSi, we reflect on this pivotal moment, celebrating how far we've come while reaffirming the work ahead to build an equitable society of justice and inclusion for all. #Juneteenth #Juneteenth2024 #RememberAndReflect #EqualityForAll #InclusiveWorkplace
