“𝑖𝑡’𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑎 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡” “𝐼‘𝑚 𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑡𝑜𝑜 𝑏𝑢𝑠𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑦 𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑚 𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑠” “𝐼’𝑣𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑠𝑜𝑟𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔” After an incredible day competing at Try Tag Rugby Nationals for the #SheffieldStorm Tag Rugby Mixed team, feeling sore (after playing 7 games in 1 day) but energised with the insight gained from stepping out of The Football Association Football Scientist role and into the playing mindset: 🏉 playing a different sport to the one I work in sparks new ideas of what could work well in football - 𝐥𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬! 🏉 🥳 playing with my team, in front of crowds and feeling what a boost it gives to have positive energy from the support and to be the positive energy for each other - 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧! 🥳 💪 in the dying minutes of the game and you think there’s no way you can make that run..but then you do! because your team needs you! because you need you! - 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫! 💪 I’m still new to rugby and learning lots about the tech/tac and physical elements of the game but so glad I found this crazy sport!
