Chinese pods used for the Colombo Port City Project. This 17T chines pod was captured on 2015-02-19 during trial inspection of time. Total about 47,000 Chinese Pods were used in (5T, 10T, 17T and 22T weights) offshore breakwater, sediment trapping embankment, revetment and submerge breakwater. Concrete grade: basically used C28/35 Curing agent: Perma Cure WB White wax based concrete curing compound and Sika Antisol 90 Curing agent

Dock anchoring system, Kish Island, Iran In some cases when the pontoon is too far away from the bank, or fixed mooring is not permitted, deadweight anchoring is the solution. This involves anchoring the pontoon with chains to a submerged concrete block. The chain's length and weight should be tailored to the water depth, pontoon size and weather conditions (e.g. wind, etc.). #pontoon #floatingdock #anchoring #marineconstruction

Getting to Know Our Sites: Criterion Jetty 🌊 The Criterion Jetty site is the deepest of our Quayside sites, extending out into the estuary to a depth of 18m. 📍 The site covers an area of 4800m² (110m x 60m) and surrounds a piled concrete jetty. The seabed consists of mud and sandy mud, offering a reliable base for testing. 🌊 Compared to our other Quayside sites, Criterion Jetty has slightly higher exposure to tidal currents and waves, with a maximum peak spring flow of 0.8m/s, as it extends further into the channel. 📡 In September 2023, a Sofar Spotter wave buoy was deployed at the site to collect and transmit data on wave activity, wind conditions, sea surface temperature, and barometric pressure. All this information is available upon request. 🚢 The site is accessible only by vessel, with no onshore access to the jetty. However, the jetty piles can be used to attach test equipment, facilitating various marine experiments. For more information about Criterion Jetty, including data requests and testing discussions, follow the link below. 🔗: https://lnkd.in/e7TdCTbq

Large TBM
"Shanhe" is ready for transportation. The Mixshield tunnel boring machine is designed for the extreme conditions of the upcoming undercrossing of the Yellow River. A two-storey road tunnel with three lanes in both directions is to be built in the eastern Chinese city of Jinan. This Mixshield TBM, one of the largest ever built with a diameter of 17.5 meters, will tackle high groundwater pressure and a challenging geological environment. A machine of this diameter has only been used twice before in the history of tunnelling - the largest in 2015 in Hong Kong, also a Herrenknecht Mixshield ( ∅ 17.63 meters). The project aims to enhance connectivity for Jinan´s 9 million residents, improving traffic flow and supporting the ecological and economic development of the Yellow River Basin. We wish Jinan Urban Construction Group Co. and China Railway 14th Bureau Group Co. every success with the project. Did you know we offered a tempuratute measurement solution? See below
Are you already familiar with Polarmatic’s advanced TEMPMATIC temperature measurement solutions that precisely measure the temperature of the aggregates, concrete, and concrete products? TEMPMATIC sensors provide accurate temperature data for optimizing concrete production processes, to improve product quality and to reduce productional costs. The TEMPMATIC variants support various concrete production processes: 1: Concrete temperature measurement for - Twin shaft and pan type mixers - Free-fall mixers 2: Temperature monitoring of the hollow core slabs during the curing process 3: Measuring the temperatures of the aggregates, either - Inside the aggregate bin with classical measuring sensor - Contactless infrared measuring outside the bin #letstalkconcrete #concrete #beton #béton #betong #betoni #temperaturecontrol
