The goal of our work is clear: our driving functions are designed to save lives. Many challenges have to be overcome before it can be used in a production vehicle. After all, there is an extensive development process between the first visions and a ready-to-use driving function. And in the automotive sector, special software meets special hardware. The principle of embedded software engineering is often used to ensure that the special requirements can be directly incorporated into the development process. Vehicle development is more and more oriented to make the driver experience more friendly and secure and, at the same time, taking care of pedestrians, environment and nature.
