Every writer has that one scene that nearly breaks them. For me, it was a deeply emotional moment between two characters that took me weeks to get right. It focused on a difficult conversation between a couple whose relationship had completely broken down because of her Post Natal Depression. It was especially tough because I had experienced PND myself and it brought to the surface so many memories. But once I did, it became one of the most powerful parts of the novel.
