A strong emphasis on safety is more than just a compliance requirement. It is a strategic imperative that benefits employees, operations, and overall business success. We held our safety seminar with our business leaders and supervisors focusing on three critical areas in workplace safety: 1.working at heights, 2. forklift operations, and 3. vehicular safety. Key Takeaways: 1. Working at Heights: Wear proper PPE, fall prevention strategies, and regular equipment inspections are non-negotiable. A single misstep can lead to life-altering consequences. Stay vigilant! 2. Forklift Safety: Always conduct pre-ops checks, operate forklifts at safe speeds, never compromise on load stability, maintain clear visibility and watch for environment hazards. 3. Vehicular Safety: Whether it's on-site or on the road, adherence to speed limits, blind spot awareness, eliminate distractions, maintain safe distance, stay alert and avoid fatigue. Safety is not an expense but an investment in people, processes, and the future of the business. Let’s continue to prioritize safety in every task we undertake. A big thank you to Jayson Baofeng Xu & Andre for organising the safety seminar. Great event and participation! ST Logistics #STARS #Teamwork #Safetyculture

Everyone views risk differently, and it’s the job of safety leaders to shape how their workforce views risk collectively in the workplace ⚠️ By having direct conversations with workers and contractors about safety and encouraging them to think about the consequences of taking a risk at work, you can collectively determine the best course of action and meaningfully change internal safety culture one step at a time. This year, we introduced two new Life Saving Rules: 𝗛𝗼𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 and 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀, bringing our total to nine. Remember, there are no shortcuts in life, and certainly not in the workplace when it comes to safety. Let's commit to avoiding any shortcuts that compromise our well-being and the safety of our team. 👷 Wear the Right Gear for the Right Job! One key takeaway from today's class – always wear the right safety measures for the job at hand. Our well-being is non-negotiable, and the right gear ensures we perform at our best while staying protected. Counter can offer several benefits, particularly on board of the vessel where safety is a priority. Each of the SMT Shipping ships is equipped with one.
