Advanced Innovative Engineering has acquired two Froude Eddy current dyno systems to enhance our testing efficiency and flexibility further. But that's not all. We've also taken the opportunity to upgrade our Data Acquisition and Dyno Control to Froude's Texcell V12 Data Acquisition and Dyno Control Systems and added two AVL 733S Fuel Balancer Systems. These additions are not just upgrades; they are transformative tools that will dramatically improve the reliability and quality of the data we capture during engine testing. The dynos at the core of this technological leap, the AG150 and AG30, are poised to elevate our development capabilities to the next level. 🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that our latest research paper titled "Robust Adaptive Heterogeneous Vehicle Platoon Control based on Disturbances Estimation and Compensation" has been accepted for publication in IEEE Access! 🚗🔧 This paper explores the complexities of controlling a heterogeneous vehicle platoon, with a particular emphasis on the challenges posed by sensor noise and external disturbances, including road slope, wind, and rolling resistance. 🌟 Key Highlights: ✔ We designed a static output feedback (SOF) controller within a predecessor-leader-follower vehicle platoon topology. ✔ Robust control theory is incorporated to mitigate sensor measurement noise and external disturbances. ✔ The control input of the engine is adjusted using a Kalman filter to compensate for external road disturbances. ✔ Closed-loop stability is ensured through a Lyapunov functional analysis. ✔ Simulations demonstrate smoother platoon following compared to strategies that do not compensate for these disturbances. This research represents a significant advancement in the field of vehicle platooning, demonstrating the potential of robust adaptive control in improving the performance and safety of autonomous vehicle systems. From conception to mass production: How ThrustMe succeeded in the development of the NPT30-I2-1U is summarized in our new article! 🚀 Beginning in 2015, the NPT30 has undergone a rapid development cycle, reaching its first flight model by 2020, lifetime testing by 2021, and achieving industrialization by 2023. As of early 2024, we have scaled production and will reach an impressive 365 units per year by 2025. This swift progress was made possible through an agile development approach, reshuffled space agency guidelines, and innovative project phase loops. The industrialization phase adopted agile method loops, while production utilized a “one piece flow” strategy with locally sourced components. These efforts have culminated in the NPT30 becoming the most-produced gridded ion thruster to date and the only demonstrated iodine-fed electric propulsion system to date.
