🍄 FA Bio recognises 'The Great Big Green Week'—the UK's biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature. CHEERS to ecoSPIRITS… spirits industry innovator and the “#SeeingGreen Solutionist of the Day” for September 21. ecoSPIRITS is on a mission to end single use glass in the spirits and wine industry by leading a transition to circular packaging technology. The company, founded in 2018, has developed the world's first low carbon, low waste packaging system for premium spirits and wine. Through their innovative closed-loop distribution system for alcohol, ecoSPIRITS provides reusable ecoTOTES containers to transport spirits, which can be cleaned, refilled, and reused, drastically reducing packaging waste. The company estimates that this approach results in 95% less physical glass and cardboard waste and a 60-90% reduction in the carbon emissions footprint of packaging and distribution. ecoSPIRITS also partners with local and global reforestation programs, planting trees for each ecoTOTE delivered -- more than 50,000 planted so far. Brewing a greener future! ☕ At our Central Office, we've embarked on a pioneering journey to address an often overlooked environmental challenge - the plastic content in tea bags. With Britons consuming a staggering 36 billion cups of tea annually, the environmental impact is significant. Our solution? A comprehensive tea composting initiative that aligns with our commitment to sustainability and our #RestoreThePlanet mission. 💪 Key components include: 🍃 - Banning plastic-containing tea bags. 🍃 - Installing dedicated Tea Composting bins. 🍃 - Weekly collection for personal composting by our staff. This initiative not only diverts approximately 50kg of waste from landfills annually but also produces nutrient-rich compost.
