Where are my golfers? I’m excited for this event…you know I specialise in leadership training but did you know there are SO many similarities between golf and being a leader? Playing golf has taught me so much about leadership! 🏌️♂️ Just like in golf, being a great leader means staying focused, being patient, and thinking strategically. Here are a few lessons golf has reinforced: 1. **Preparation is Key**: Just as I practice my swing, leaders must prepare for meetings and projects. 2. **Adaptability**: Weather changes on the course, and business conditions change too. Adapt and keep moving forward. 3. **Patience and Resilience**: Not every shot lands where you want it. Learn from mistakes and stay resilient. Both golf and leadership are continuous journeys of improvement. Let's keep refining our skills and striving for excellence! See you in June at the Whitby Chamber of Commerce golf event at Royal Ashburn Golf Club #Leadership #Golf #ContinuousLearning #Resilience #leadershiptraining #teetime #supportlocal #chamberofcommerce #businessowner #whitby

Join us as we catch up with last year's Rockstead Cup champion, Shaun Foo, who shares some insights from his victorious experience at our inaugural event! 🏆 Can you share your thoughts and emotions when you won last year's Rockstead Cup? Shaun: Winning last year's Rockstead Cup was truly exhilarating. The event was exceptionally smooth and well-organized, and I probably played one of my best rounds of golf that day. The joy and satisfaction of playing so well and taking home the trophy were immense. 🎯 How did you maintain your focus and composure throughout the competition? Shaun: Staying relaxed was key for me during the competition. Golf is a game that requires a calm mind and steady hands, so I focused on keeping my body loose and tension-free, which really helped my swing and overall performance. 🤝 How important do you think events like the Rockstead Cup are for fostering camaraderie and networking? Shaun: Events like the Rockstead Cup are invaluable. They foster a spirit of friendly competition and provide a fantastic opportunity to form new relationships in a relaxing setting outside of the office. As excitement builds for Rockstead Cup 2024, we are all eager to find out who will rise as this year's champion. Let's make it another year to remember! #FamilyOfficeSingapore #WealthAssetManagement #FundManagement

TODAY. COERCIVE CONTROL NEW OFFENCE (NSW) FORUM - MOSS VALE- 13 JUNE 2024. Hosted by YWCA and Wilkinson Legal Resolutions. Details Dormie House, Moss Vale Golf Club 38 Arthur St, Moss Vale Thursday 13 June 9 am - 3 pm. With many offering Workshops and Forums on Coercive Control and Coercive Control new offence (NSW) why pick our Forums? We have over 30 years of frontline experience; 29 years of academic history of research; client experiences and lived experience and so much more…Breaking down any legislation does not require a legal mind or legal expertise, however, it does add value. We are the lead in increasing awareness of this heinous form of abuse and the offence complexities. Forums and Workshops are essential and an investment in embedding a comprehensive understanding of the new Coercive Control offence, ensuring appropriate and efficient responses and identification, which will save lives. This offence is complex and a deeper understanding will assist in understanding what will be required for successful prosecution. As always, with any Legislation the devil is in the detail. When we unpack the new Coercive Control offence (NSW) and its complexities at our NSW Region Forums, we also unpack what coercive control is and its consequences, such as whilst not limited to the “loss of free will”; loss of autonomy; overt and rigid rules; covert and overtook behaviours; unwritten consequences; unspoken expectations; emotional fallout; promises extracted; emotions fully loaded; Fear Obligation and Guilt (FOG); manipulative moodiness; and sulking in the aftermath as means to get what the controller wants. Click on the event flyer link to book your spot. Come along and improve your understanding of coercive control and the new offence, network and build relationships and share resources. https://lnkd.in/gAJQ8ZsC If are interested in a forum in your region or an in-service just on the new offence alone do not hesitate to reach out to discuss your needs further.
