As 2024 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible year the U.S. Postal Inspection Service has had. From protecting postal employees, protecting the public at large, and ensuring the safety of our nation's mail to relentlessly pursuing justice, the dedication and excellence of this team have been nothing short of inspiring. Looking ahead to 2025, I know the bar is set high—and I have no doubt that we’ll rise to the challenge. To the criminals out there: just know that you’re already caught. You just don’t realize it yet, because we’re on the case, and we will not relent until justice is served. A perfect example of this unyielding commitment comes from the Chicago Division. Their outstanding work led to the arrest and guilty plea in a case involving the armed robbery of postal employees. This case underscores the bravery and professionalism of our Postal Inspectors, who stand at the forefront of protecting our employees and the communities we serve.
