Resting Heart Rate. Having a low resting heart rate is generally indicative of good cardiovascular health. A normal resting heart rate typically ranges between 60 and 100 beats per minute. A lower resting heart rate within or below this range means the heart is efficient at pumping blood, requiring fewer beats to maintain a steady supply of oxygen and nutrients throughout the body. This efficiency reduces the heart's workload, lowering the risk of developing conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, and stroke. My client results pictured show a resting heart rate of 43bpm. This indicates extremely high levels of cardiovascular fitness levels, and a much reduced risk of developing any of the health conditions mentioned above. While most of the time fat loss and health go hand in hand, health should always be the main focus of every training programme before worrying about aesthetic goals.
