Entrepreneur | Helping accredited investors generate passive income through commercial real estate | Retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant
Joining the Marine Corps was the smartest decision I ever made at 18. Inherently I had value, but I was not operating at my potential. My Drill Instructor helped me unlock that. I felt obligated to become a Drill Instructor and be part of developing the next generation. The young man pictured center was selected to Gunnery Sergeant this year, the rank I’m retiring. I’m proud to be part of his journey. Distressed properties are similar, they have value and potential, but still need a dedicated team to unlock them. Unlocking potential in distressed housing isn't just about profits – it's about revitalizing communities and creating lasting impact. By applying value-add strategies and forced appreciation, we're not only enhancing properties but also elevating neighborhoods 💪🏠💰 #RealEstateInvesting #CommunityRevitalization #ImpactInvesting"

💧Founder of HYDR8: a premium bottled water brand that proudly supports U.S. Veterans and First Responders.🇺🇸
THEY KNEW THEY HAD TO GET HER OUT OR ELSE SHE WOULD SURELY DIE Watching the dramatic rescue of a wild horse stuck in deep mud reminded me of our profound responsibility to each other and the creatures we share this world with. The group's determination and teamwork showcased the best of humanity, illustrating how we can overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges through collective effort and compassion. As Marcus Aurelius wisely said, "Humans have come into being for the sake of each other, so either teach them, or learn to bear them." This video serves as a beautiful reminder of our duty to protect and nurture all life around us. Saving lives, whether human or animal, is a testament to our shared humanity. This rescue filled my heart with joy and reinforced the belief that acts of #kindness, no matter how difficult, are always worthwhile. Let's continue to embody this spirit of care and #compassion in our daily lives. I am really grateful for the opportunities I have been given lately to share my new brand, HYDR8, with interested parties. HYDR8 🇺🇸 is a premium, domestically sourced patriotic bottled water that proudly supports U.S. Veterans and was inspired by my father, Naval Captain Mark McNally’s (ret.) over 28 years of active-duty service as a naval aviator. He retired after commanding the U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower. If you haven't had the chance to learn about our brand, I think it is worth the watch. I may be biased, but I enjoy listening to my Dad's service history. After all, real heroes don't wear capes. #veterans #podcast #newbrand #charitablegiving #givingback #health #hydr8 Hydr8 US LLC D. 💡 Survivorship Bias During WWII, the Allies analyzed bullet holes in returning planes to decide where to add armor. They found most damage in the wings and fuselage. Initially, the plan was to reinforce these areas. That seems obvious in the first place, isn't it? But Abraham Wald, a statistician, suggested a different approach. Wald realized that planes hit in the areas with no damage didn't make it back. The key was to armor the spots without bullet holes—those were the fatal hits that downed planes. This story is a classic example of survivorship bias. We often see and analyze only the survivors, missing crucial data from those who failed. When we only study successful businesses or successful people, we miss the analysis of countless others that didn't make it. Learning from failures is just as important as learning from success. Unseen failures can provide impactful insights, and overlooking them may cost dearly in life. #SurvivorshipBias #DecisionMaking #BusinessStrategy #WWII

"For these men are lately drawn from the ways of peace. They fight not for the lust of conquest. They fight to end conquest. They fight to liberate. They fight to let justice arise, and tolerance and goodwill among all Thy people. They yearn but for the end of battle, for their return to the haven of home." - Eisenhower 80 years ago, brave soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy, fighting for freedom and a better future. In the TV show "Man vs. Wild," Bear Grylls demonstrates various survival skills in diverse wilderness environments. The quote is commonly associated with military forces and was not originally created by Bear Grylls. However, Bear Grylls, a former member of the British SAS special forces, is often perceived as the source due to his extensive application of this principle in survival and escape situations. In my book, "Planning Principles," I consistently emphasize the importance of preparation and planning. However, it also stresses the significance of adapting to situations that do not go according to plan. In the construction industry, due to its nature, there is often a need to improvise and make quick decisions with flexibility. Instead of blaming schedules in such situations, finding solutions collaboratively with a team is crucial. I believe Bear Grylls would have been incredibly successful if he had worked in the construction industry. You can find Planning Principles here : https://lnkd.in/gR9cszS3

Give gratitude to the heroic Newfoundland dogs during World War II and D-Day: During World War II, Newfoundland dogs played an important role in various military and rescue efforts. These large, strong, and intelligent dogs were well-suited for tasks such as: **Messenger Dogs**: Newfoundland dogs were used to carry messages and dispatches between military units, as their size and strength allowed them to navigate rough terrain that was impassable for humans. **Water Rescue**: Newfoundland dogs' natural swimming abilities made them valuable assets in water rescue operations. They assisted in saving downed pilots and crew members from the ocean, as well as helping with search and rescue missions. **Trench Warming**: Newfoundland dogs were sometimes placed in the trenches with soldiers to provide warmth and companionship during the cold, damp conditions of trench warfare. On D-Day, June 6, 1944, Newfoundland dogs played a small but important role in the Allied invasion of Normandy. Newfoundland dogs were used to aid in the rescue of Allied troops from the English Channel after their landing craft were sunk or damaged by enemy fire. The thick, water-resistant coats and powerful swimming abilities of the Newfoundland breed made them well-suited for this perilous task. While their overall contribution was relatively modest compared to the immense scale of the D-Day landings, the Newfoundland dogs' efforts nonetheless contributed to the eventual Allied victory in World War II. #newfoundlanddog #waterrescuedog #HeroDogs #worldwar2 #dday80anniversary #DDay
