Coinbase is pleased to announce that EigenDA will be the first AVS on EigenLayer that our Operator will support. EigenDA is a data availability (DA) solution built by the EigenLabs team. It's the first AVS to launch on EigenLayer, the restaking protocol enabling projects to leverage Ethereum’s security to create decentralized networks. DA refers to guaranteeing that all transaction data is available for network nodes to verify blocks. But there’s a problem. As the number of transactions increases, requiring all nodes to download all transaction data prevents scaling. This is known as the DA problem. Enter rollups (i.e., L2s), which help Ethereum scale by moving transactions off-chain, bundling them, and posting the compressed data to mainnet (via call data) so nodes can verify their veracity. No big deal. Sequence engineer Augustin Aguilar just created the world's most gas efficient web3 wallets. Here's why that matters 👇🏼 https://lnkd.in/g9J-y_Me Gas is the fee paid to a blockchain for processing transactions. It's like paying the database to handle some data processing. That's all well and good. But gas has to be paid by someone. In the past with bad user experiences it was paid by users and players. That's not great, especially when the transaction is something that would otherwise be invisible to a web2 gamer (like account creation or unlocking an in-game item). Using technology like Sequence's Relayer, developers can now ensure that no player ever needs to be burdened by that cost or step. But gas can add up for developers, too. Which is why this is revolutionary. On already-gas-efficient L2s, this innovation ensures that handling gas isn't a burden on anyone and looks more or less like any other web2 server usage ping. In short, this means web3 gaming has no tax on developers than any kind of game. Done and done.

It is an honor to have Constellation Network join the Decentralized Recovery Alliance alongside Ripple Casper Networks Algorand Technologies Swirlds Labs and several others. This is a multi-chain alliance to implement open source standards for the recovery of digital wallets. Standards need to be in place for self sovereignty of digital assets to proliferate and become more widely adopted across institutions. Over the past few weeks, we have been working diligently on a number of improvements aimed at optimizing DEX performance by strengthening its internal structure. We are proud to announce that The Great Fix™ is complete, and you can now witness an improved version of DEX. The Great Fix™ includes: 1. Users now always see the correct token value in dollar equivalent. We have improved the complex algorithm on the backend, and it is now capable of accurately determining asset values even under high blockchain or DEX loads. 2. From time to time, we restart DEX to add a new feature or perform technical maintenance. As part of The Great Fix™, we have improved the service update process — users will no longer experience inconvenience during reboots. 3. Along with the number of users, the number of processed requests has also increased. We have reworked the algorithm that displays balances and significantly reduced the time it takes for users to receive complete information about their assets. No more delays during authorization! 4. APY in liquidity pools is now calculated using an improved algorithm and is always displayed correctly. 5. Retrieving data from the blockchain when providing liquidity is now much faster, which has accelerated the display of data in the interface. Providing liquidity to STON.fi DEX has become even more convenient! 6. The logic for obtaining token metadata has also been reworked. Now all token icons are displayed correctly. 7. We have improved the process of sending requests and receiving notifications about the status of operations from the blockchain. The client’s response time during any interaction and any operation is significantly reduced. 8. Now STON.fi DEX uses its own nodes on TON Blockchain. This directly affects the performance and stability of the service during overloads. 9. Cache algorithms have been optimized. Now DEX can process large volumes of data without compromising the performance. 10. The algorithm for creating new pools has been changed. Last couple weeks have been a pretty good stress test for Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solutions. In particular zkSync with the new prover, Boojum, now on mainnet. As we continue to improve ZK tech we will be able to compress more and more transactions into a single batch and start to achieve unit economics that will get transactions costs trending towards $<0.01 in the the next few months. Ethereum is about to go mainstream. Two pretty good articles that sum it up by Macauley Peterson at Blockworks and Seth Bloomberg at Messari From the Messari article (https://lnkd.in/ef_hktkk): "- The underlying cryptographic primitives of zero-knowledge (ZK) technology give rollups the ability to execute transactions at lower unit costs relative to other rollup solutions. - As ZK rollups achieve scale, unit costs will continue trending downward as they are amortized across a wider range of transactions. - Data publishing (or data availability) generally remains the highest onchain cost for rollups. While Ethereum rolls out EIP-4844, its first phase of increasing data availability for rollups, new solutions such as Celestia and Eigenlayer DA are entering the market as optimized data availability layers."
