Good news for #SmallBiz! AFWERX pre-released its latest Small Business Innovation Research (#SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (#STTR) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Topics (24.3C). SDA’s goal is to advance affordable, resilient, and interoperable technologies within the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (#PWSA) to support joint warfighting operations and enable all-domain command and control on a global scale. Toward that end, small companies are asked to provide novel and innovative technology that enables leap-ahead improvements for future tranches of currently planned PWSA capability layers or enable new capabilities to address other emerging or evolving warfighter needs. In addition, SDA is releasing a special topic, STTR Phase I - SF24C-T003 - Strengthening Space: Uniting Research and Innovation for PWSA (Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture), which will allow companies to apply for a larger Phase I STTR of $305K followed by a larger Phase II effort of $3M. SDA plans to select five companies for Phase I followed by a down-select of three companies for Phase II. Through this updated STEC BAA, SDA is soliciting executive summaries, invited proposal abstracts, and invited proposals for novel architecture concepts, systems, technologies, and capabilities that enable leap-ahead improvements to the agency's Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (#PWSA). The first official Tranche 3 opportunity is here! The request for proposals (RFP) is live for T3 Program Integration. SDA released an RFP for the Tranche 3 Program Integration (T3PI) effort of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (#PWSA). Through this RFP, SDA seeks systems engineering and integration activities to support the T3 program, which will extend the PWSA through the acquisition and integration of the next generation of hundreds of space vehicles and associated ground segment. Multiple vendors will deliver sets of space vehicles (SVs) that comprise each of the T3 Transport Layer (T3TL), T3 Tracking Layer (T3TRK), and T3 Custody Layer (T3CL), and multiple vendors are expected to contribute to the evolution of the PWSA ground segment (GS) to drive T3 SV integration, test, and mission operations. The T3 Program Integration contractor will be primarily responsible for the integration of T3 system elements to ensure interoperability within the operational PWSA. Proposals must be submitted by noon ET, Jan. 31, 2025.
