Good to see the #satellite industry come together to work on space sustainability and the development of In-Orbit Services. The question remains as to who will fund it and how will it be regulated? While the UKSA is providing funds, these questions need to be answered to allow this market to truly develop. I welcome any comments on this, would be good to find out more

“If you had unlimited resources, what would your mission be?” ✨✨✨ Infinite Horizons Insights - 001 ✨✨✨  We asked each of our #IHS24 retreat participants this icebreaker question ahead of our discussions on how the space ecosystem can accelerate #globally. Framed by our three pillars: 🤖 For Technology 🚀 For Industry 🌍 For Humanity The answers varied, but revealed a common theme: These missions cannot succeed without  #clear value to the people of Earth and cross collaboration with terrestrial industries. As Sam Jordan, our resident #strategicforesight expert, put it: “The space industry needs compelling scenarios to attract other industries. Potential #investors must understand how their investment in space will lead to efficiency improvements or new value creation.” Paraphrasing Camille Elizabeth Bergin, the Galactic Gal: The #spaceindustry has traditionally communicated “by space, for space”. The focus should be “by space, for Earth”, and the inverse, “by Earth, for space”. Europe needs a unified and unique space strategy. Space Exploration is key to have Europe as a full Space Power. Europe, via European Commission and European Space Agency - ESA, needs to help to inspire and retain "local" talents, respecting their sensibility and their strong wish of a clean and safe world. Space exploration can be an effective mean to achieve that, while showing them the concept and value of risk and failure, key aspects of life. Space Exploration can help building a stronger Europe, improving its worldwide perception as relaiable Strategic Partner.
