As we recover from Hurricane Milton, we recognize it's also World Mental Health Day. Our financial Watchdog is here to remind you that caring for your mental health is just as important as taking care of everything else in life, especially during challenging times. Here are a few small ways to practice self-care today: 1️⃣ Take a Break: Give yourself time to breathe—whether it's stepping outside, meditating, or simply enjoying a quiet moment. Mental rest is key to well-being, particularly after stressful events. 2️⃣ Find Balance: Life can be stressful, especially in the aftermath of a storm. Remember to prioritize both your peace of mind and the things that matter most. 3️⃣ Simplify Where You Can: Setting small, achievable goals (whether for yourself or your responsibilities) can make a big difference in reducing stress during recovery. 4️⃣ Reach Out for Support: Life can be overwhelming at times, and it's okay to ask for help. Just like Watchdog is here to assist you with your financial security, lean on loved ones or professionals for mental support when you need it. 3moThe CU claims MeridianLink can help members with lending experience, but I do not believe that to be the case. The CU has broken processes for lending. The CU continues to erroneously or possible intentionally bill members for condo flood insurance even after evidence by the condo association is provided. Thousands of dollars are being billed to members to cover an entire building complex flood insurance incorrectly or intentionally when condo owners do not have such a responsibility or provide evidence from the association.
