I have always enjoyed following Tom Vice updates on the Dream Chaser #Space plane, and while we've only ever spoken briefly at #spaceindustry conferences, I also feel we share similar visions for #5ir, which is the #spaceeconomy. Spaceplane benefits: (1) Runway landings instead of Ocean splashdowns, (2) Extra cargo capacity vs current options, (3) Potential crew and #spacetourism capabilities, and (4) #Satellite 🛰 Servicing missions Hopefully, his retirement is short-lived, and he shows back up at another #deeptech company trying to solve the complex problems of tomorrow. -GSP- MilkyWayEconomy

As a proud Boilermaker through and through, I’m constantly inspired by Purdue University’s legacy of innovation and exploration. Their history of graduating astronauts, who have charted new frontiers and reshaped the boundaries of what’s possible, speaks to a core value I hold close: never settling for the status quo. In Human Resources, this mindset is critical. Like those brave explorers, we must continuously challenge ourselves to explore new processes, adopt innovative practices, and develop strategies that empower our business partners. By doing so, we not only improve operations but also set our organizations up for sustained growth and success. I’m also deeply inspired by the amazing work my team and our operational partners accomplish every day. Their dedication and drive remind me that we, too, are pioneers in our own right: building a dynamic, forward-thinking future. In the new year, let’s embrace Purdue's spirit as we tackle new challenges and seize every opportunity to improve, grow, and thrive. Boiler Up! #BoilerUp #HumanResources #Teamwork #Leadership
#Purdue’s short film was inspired by our history preparing astronauts — and now it’s a part of today’s space travel. 🚀 “Boilers to Mars” was produced with support by SpaceKids Global. Founders Marc (BS electrical engineering ’71, MS industrial administration ’72) and Sharon Hagle recently brought this flag with them on a Blue Origin flight. A Rocky Road, But Lessons Learned The road to space is never smooth. Just ask Boeing's Starliner, which recently faced a series of challenges during its mission to the International Space Station (ISS). From software glitches to propulsion system problems, the spacecraft encountered its fair share of obstacles. But as they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And in the case of Starliner, it's clear that the team behind it is learning and adapting at a rapid pace. So what can we learn from this space adventure? 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡: Even the best-laid plans can encounter setbacks. It's essential to view these as opportunities to learn, improve, and ultimately achieve success. 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐲: The space race is a dynamic field. To stay ahead, it's crucial to be flexible and able to adjust to changing circumstances. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥: Space exploration is a complex endeavor that requires the combined efforts of many individuals and organizations. Effective teamwork is essential for overcoming challenges and achieving shared goals. The Starliner's journey is a testament to the resilience, innovation, and teamwork that it takes to achieve great things. And as we continue to explore the cosmos, we can be sure that there will be more challenges ahead. But with the right attitude, we can overcome anything. #Boeing #Starliner #SpaceExploration #LessonsLearned #Innovation #Teamwork #𝐬𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐡𝐮𝐛
