During the first meeting of incoming board members the question came up "How did you first get involved with ABC?" While others shared impactful, intentional reasons for joining..my initial reason was a bit immature - I joined because I liked golf, and Egypt Valley seemed like a fun course. In reality, I was young still trying to survive in the business world and wouldn’t understand the impact ABC would have on our business & the work they do to support our industry. Fast forward a bit and my motivation for joining the board has evolved: 1️⃣ As a young professional, I feel a responsibility to involve others and show them the opportunities in the industry. 2️⃣ Despite labeling myself as "not political," I realize staying informed about the industry's direction is crucial and needed more than ever! 3️⃣ Learning from industry leaders by talking about shared challenges is extremely beneficial for anyone trying to grow their career or business.
