Grid reliability plays a crucial role in facilitating a collaborative and successful energy transition. Forward-thinking utilities are actively deploying distributed energy resources. Our collective future hinges on effective collaboration to enhance the grid’s performance.

So estimulating and enriching to spent time with a bunch of people from the energy industry last week in Colorado as part of the CHARGED Initiative. Thanks GridLab, RMI and Advanced Energy United for planning and leading this project. Discussions were held around several areas: deployment strategies, grid connection, rates, planning and operations regarding least regret solutions and long term solutions to address the current challenges of increasing distributed loads. Insight: we all hold one piece of the pie and only by coming together (with our different perspectives) can we co-create well-rounded solutions to accelerate distributed electrification while minimizing the impact to the grid. #distribution #DERs #cocreation #charged
