Every successful person or organization we admire today has faced significant challenges on their journey. It’s important to remember that setbacks are a natural part of growth and success. Take Ray Dalio, for example. In 1982, Dalio faced a major setback when he lost all his money due to decisions that didn't pan out as planned. At that low point, he even had to seek help from his father. But rather than giving up, Dalio used this experience as a learning opportunity. He went on to build Bridgewater Associates, which is now one of the world's largest hedge funds with over $124 billion in assets under management. Today, Ray Dalio is a billionaire with a net worth of $19 billion. Dalio’s story is a powerful reminder that setbacks are not the end but rather stepping stones to greater achievements. If you’re facing challenges, remember that many successful people have been there too. Stay resilient and use your experiences to fuel your growth. Here is a detailed article to learn more about Ray Dalio; https://lnkd.in/dpWzqSK3 And here is a detailed review of his book"Principle FOR Success"-https://lnkd.in/gEZXRd5S #Resilience #Leadership #RayDalio #SuccessStory #PersonalGrowth #OvercomingChallenges #Inspiration

Don Valentine of Sequoia Capital famously said he looked for 'horse races' rather than 'horses' when investing. What it means is that his focus was on industries with growth potential instead of simply focusing on potent companies. I think of Prof. Dr. Fredmund Malik's work around long-term profit potential and the need to analyse what a company can control and what it can't (e.g. macroeconomic environment, market and emerging technologies and innovations) to long-term profit potential. So keep an eye on the horse race.

Today you’ll see a lot of press about Siddhi Capital closing our $135MM Fund II…. I reflect on a few things as this occurs: (1) I wasn’t a classically trained investor / asset manager - I am an operator at heart. I knew I always wanted to be “an investor” but I sold myself short on being able to do so without formal education. Dream BIG because it’s always possible! (2) I attached a photo of our team retreat from Last year below. Why? Because THAT is what people are investing in… the combined expertise of investing with operating knowledge and a built in team to help solve the most complex problems. And to this team… thank you for waking up every day ready to crush it! And for your belief in where Siddhi Capital is headed! (3) I never liked the idea of partnership. I grew up in an environment where my father was a single business owner. Boy was I wrong! Marrying the power of Steven Finn and Brian Finn, with the team at Siddhi Ops proved to be a powerful partnership. Every day I’m grateful for you! (4) Investors want to invest in passion, in execution and in capability. We couldn’t be more humbled by the support of our Fund I and Fund II investor base. We bust our butts every day to make sure you win with us! Thank you for your trust. (5) I believe - strongly - in re-establishing trust between portfolio companies and their investors. As such, our approach is unique and differentiating and we’ve won the hearts of some of the greatest brands in the space. Thank you for your trust in us as investors! We did a thing! It's just the beginning, but good to get noticed for what we're up to. Huge thanks to the best partner a guy could ask for - Melissa Facchina - and to the whole team at Siddhi Capital. Your expertise is what makes the best founders around want to talk to us. Your execution is what makes it work from there. To the food tech founders who didn't know we were this into CPG - coming at the tech space as the "food guy" is our unique lens. It's what guides us that what makes the food world spin is taste, price, margin structure, and scalability, not TAM or sustainability focus. Our work with CPG brands is what proves to us that brand building is JUST AS HARD as the fundamental scientific achievement happening in the food tech world. Ingredient companies - our brands are your best first customer. We invest in innovative CPG's that are big enough to move the needle for you, but small enough to not take 5 years to think about it. Again, we're just getting started, but this is a ride I'm thrilled to be on and I'm floored that so many smart people have joined us! In 1973, Bloomberg became a general partner at Salomon Brothers, then a large Wall Street investment bank, where he headed equity trading. Phibro Corporation bought Salomon Brothers in 1981, and the new management fired Bloomberg, paying him a settlement for his equity in the firm. For the record, neither Salomon Brothers nor Phibro Corporation presently exist. Bloomberg, on the other hand, used his payout to launch his own businesses with what seemed like a hackneyed idea. That business became the foundation of his empire, making him a billionaire with a present net worth of almost $100bn. Seeing this post by Bloomberg, over 40 years after he was fired from “the job he loved,” reminds us that losing a job doesn't define our worth or potential. I daresay that a reversal of fortunes can be disguised as an opportunity for growth. A lot depends on how we respond to adversity and channel our energy into pursuing our dreams. So, if you find yourself facing a similar challenge, remember that setbacks can be catalysts for remarkable achievements. Embrace the opportunity to reinvent yourself, tap into your inner strength, and let Bloomberg’s case serve as a beacon of hope on your journey towards success. Have an amazing June! #inspirationalsaturday #reallifestories

Innovator, Entrepreneur, and Product Designer, Smart Homes, Gesture Controlled Applications, EV Chargers, IoT based Solutions,
Amazing Workshop “Unboxing” conducted by Ajay Parasrampuria and co-created by PAIO - Public Angel Investment Offer, an RBI approved Investment Fund, on last Friday 5th April 2024. It was a unique and gamified way for Founders to prepare and present their product and its all aspects, from the problem they were solving thru the product to its solution, challenges faced and addressed thru different tools and technique so that Investors could get real picture and potential for making their decision - to fund or no to fund. It was many times more effective than typical pitch deck presentations and shark tanks. It was very interesting, discovering self and unboxing the real outlook about their products to the Founders. I learned a lot, got most valuable feedback and got clarity about my business plans, how it should unfold in coming months. Thanks to Rupam Das for organizing such wonderful event and sponsoring many founders like me! I would like Ajay to organize many such events for the benefit of founders and investors!
