Rising energy demand and climate change have forced the energy sector to radically transform. Our Founder and CEO, Dhiraj Rajaram, and Sebastian Gass, Chief Technology Officer at Quantum Capital Group, advocate that the energy industry must move from resilience to antifragility to thrive in a world of rapid change in the recently co-authoring article ‘Propelling the Energy Transition Through Technology-Driven Decision Making’ as part of the book ‘Shaping the Future of Work.’ The book is available for download at: https://bit.ly/3sg6fqu. #EnergyTransition #AlgorithmicLeadership #SustainableFuture

Dynamic allocation of energy-per-token is an essential step before reaching AGI, we are nowhere close to that I think.

We collaborated with GTI Energy to compare and contrast net-zero modeling studies. Although there are many pathways to decarbonizing the economy and differences across regions, we found many common characteristics, which we summarize in our report published late last year: https://lnkd.in/ex5ThHmn

“Even as we march into the brave new world of #AI and #data, to make it all work, you still need #energy.” This morning, S&P Global Vice Chairman and Pulitzer Prize winning author, Daniel Yergin, joins David Greely to discuss his recent report 'The Return of Energy Security' and how energy's influence on #geopolitics is shaping the #FutureOfEnergy. During the episode, Greely references Yergin's book 'The Prize' asking if oil was the prize of the 20th century — what would he coin the prize of the 21st century — and what lengths should we expect countries and companies to go to win it? Yergin tells us: 🗯️ "People say it's something in the realm of AI chips, but more broadly than that, it's the the tools of AI and the control. #Oil, you can visualize, but this is mastery of #technology that's unfolding very quickly that can do a lot of good and can do a lot of harm. We're seeing the new face of warfare in #Ukraine. It's a combination of traditional things like shells and artillery but it's also AI and information warfare which is cyber. It's much more complex. Yet, you do come back to energy because the U.S. electric power industry has been very accustomed to flat demand or very tiny growth. Now suddenly all the expectations for growth and projections are shooting up — partly because of #EVs, partly because of smart manufacturing and reshoring of manufacturing, and maybe most of all because of data centers and AI. The U.S. is going to have to worry about electricity supply and making sure that there is enough electricity to meet all of these needs. That gets you back to permitting. It gets you back to environmental battles. So even as we march into the brave new world of AI and data, to make it all work, you still need #energy.” Listen Now! https://lnkd.in/eDi_hmwS #EnergySecurity #RenewableEnergy #Electrification #SmarterMarkets #EnergyTransition

🌟 A Primer to Digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (dMRV) in Carbon Markets 🌟 🔉To unlock the carbon market's potential, we must address growing concerns about the quality and transparency of carbon credits. New digital technologies improving the monitoring, reporting, and verification (dMRV) process provide a compelling solution. 🔍 In NetaCarbon's blog post, we evaluate why current verification requirements fall short and introduce key examples of MRV technologies that could be more widely deployed in the future carbon market. Enjoy!
