Congrats to Society of Petroleum Engineers - SPE Ghana Section on their SPE AYPW 2024 win! I'm thrilled to have represented SPE Abuja Section 199 alongside my incredible teammates, Marrietta Adaobi Mba, Gabriel Isioma, Mr. Promise, Anthiga Eyo, Mr Yusuf and Mr. Chisom. Their support throughout the competition was invaluable. This debate sparked an inner fire in me for the oil & gas industry. We delved into critical topics like "Limited Infrastructure and geographic limitations in certain regions of Africa pose an insurmountable chailenge to long term and widespread energy innovation across the Africa continent" and " Diversifying energy portfolios and investing in renewable energy technologies will future-proof the African oil and gas industry against changing market dynamics and growing environmental concerns" and "Current advocacy, awareness campaigns and collaborations are sufficient to attract young talent to the African oil and gas industry amidst a changing energy landscape" addressing energy transition and the Africa oil and gas industry. It is crucial for young minds to engage in conversations like this address the future of the energy industry and their role in a sustainable future. What do you think are way to engage young minds into the energy industry Afric energy sustainability and youth engagement, giving me a clearer vision of my future role in the evolving energy landscape. #SPE #Energy #Sustainability #OilAndGas #CleanEnergy #GenZ #climatechange #renewable

Gas to Energy Project - QGMI Guyana
Guyana Shore Base Inc. (GYSBI) is a Guyanese-owned facility serving as the preferred support team for oil and gas operations offshore Guyana.
Did you know that GYSBI is playing a leading role in the development of the Gas to Energy Project Site in Wales, West Bank Demerara? We have been instrumental in assisting LINDSAYCA CH4 with earthworks, soil remediation, and surcharge activities at the site. Prior to this, GYSBI was engaged by ExxonMobil Guyana to carry out early works and the Heavy Haul Road projects, which included constructing five bridges, 4,800 meters of road, and preparing the initial site for the Integrated Plant. This ambitious project is being managed by a dedicated team of 260 staff members, with 96 percent of them being Guyanese. To learn more about this project, check out News Room's feature below!

Corporate/Commercial Attorney; 2019/2020 Africa Initiative for Governance Scholar at Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.
I am thrilled to be participating in this year’s Upstream Oil & Gas Local Content Conference & Exhibition organised by the Petroleum Commission in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana. Local content policies (LCPs) are critical to developing and strengthening linkages between the extractive industry and other sectors of the economy to unleash optimal value. They also form a veritable conduit through which the skills and training gap in resource-rich developing countries may be bridged. It’s been a decade since the Petroleum (Local Content And Local Participation) Regulations, 2013 (L.I. 2204) was promulgated, and an opportune time to interrogate whether it is performing satisfactorily against its stated objectives. This is why this year’s conference theme, “Ten (10) Years of Local Content in Ghana’s Upstream Petroleum Industry: Achievements, Challenges and Prospects” couldn’t be more apt. Socrates once famously said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” The purpose of policy evaluation is to assess the effectiveness and impact of policy implementation. It helps to determine whether the policy is achieving its intended goals and objectives. Through evaluation, policymakers can identify areas of success and areas that need improvement. It also provides valuable insights and data for making informed decisions and adjustments to the policy to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness. I am eager to see what insights this year’s conference will unearth! #OilAndGasConference #LocalContent #ExcitingOpportunity

CTPD URGES ZAMBIA TO DEVELOP COMPREHENSIVE OIL EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION POLICY The Centre for Trade Policy and Development (CTPD) has called on the Zambian government to urgently develop an Oil Exploration and Production (E&P) Policy to attract significant investment in the oil and gas sector. Since the enactment of the Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Act in 2008, Zambia has faced challenges in attracting substantial investment in oil and gas exploration. Despite the country’s potential, geological risks and a lack of funding commitments have hindered progress. Dr. Stephen Kambani, Associate Researcher for Extractives at CTPD, noted that Zambia has conducted three licensing…READ MORE HERE https://lnkd.in/duwfACrp
