Equine therapy is so much more than developing riding skills. It’s about building confidence and developing relationships. It’s about learning new ways to discover your strengths and passion. It’s a journey. One that Adam began with Special Equestrians over 20 years ago, at the age of 5. After many years of riding, Adam decided to sign up to volunteer at Special Equestrians. He told us, “I decided to volunteer because I like giving out my time, when I was younger people helped me out. Volunteering in the lessons with the students and seeing the smile on their faces is something I enjoy.” Today, Special Equestrians embarks on our 2023 annual giving campaign, and with help from donors like you, we can continue to support people like Adam, and children and adults of all abilities. The therapeutic principles of equine therapy are more than a participant developing writing skills. It's about confidence and relationship building, learning new ways to discover your strengths and passions. It's a journey, one that Adam began with special equestrians over 20 years ago at the age of 5. So my name is Adam Sukman. I've been riding since I'm kindergarten when I was five years old. I really enjoyed coming back every week, being around the horses, but also working with all the other volunteers, helping out in the lessons, seeing the students smile on their faces. I decided to volunteer here because I like giving out my time because like when I was younger, like people have helped me out and like with riding and like volunteering and stuff. Also my passion of being like around the horses, my confidence. Within a lot better. I've been more relaxed around the horses and stuff and helping out in the lessons. Today, Special Equestrians embarks on our annual Giving campaign. Our programs are driven by the awareness that every person learns differently, and with help from donors like you, we can continue to support people like Adam and children and adults of all abilities.
