🔋 Due to the growing global demand for Li-ion batteries, the need to extract lithium from hard rocks and underground brine deposits, is increasing. 👩🔬 This extraction requires the use of materials that must be analyzed and monitored throughout the process. ✔️ Although lithium itself cannot be measured by WDXRF, other elements present in these materials (Ca, K, Na, etc.) can be analyzed by the ARL PERFORM'X™ XRF Spectrometer. #XRF #Battery #Salars #Lithium #PERFORMX #miningindustry

Can we use boron as a catalytic material ? Türkiye has 73% of the global boron reserves, the largest in the world. Boron is already a key mineral in several sectors, but diversifying its uses is of critical importance for Türkiye. In my recent publication, I have shown how boron functions as a very efficient catalytic promoter that can improve the sulfur resistance of metal-based catalysts. The analysis of rare earth element (REE) ores using XRF can be rather complex due to the line-rich x-ray fluorescence spectra. Based on new and powerful deconvolution algorithms SPECTRO’s ED-XRF flagship, the SPECTRO XEPOS, is well suited of such samples. It can provide qualitative and quantitative information about the elemental composition of a sample, including the REEs, without the need for complex sample preparation or chemical separation. https://lnkd.in/eRqqgPpV #XRF
