The Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) will now require specific information for 2-methoxyethyl methacrylate and 2-ethoxyethyl methacrylate listed on the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (Inventory). AICIS determined that it is necessary to manage risks. Businesses must inform the Executive Director of volume, use, and end-use within 20 working days if a chemical is being introduced for consumer end-use. These chemicals are mainly used in ocean coating, biological materials, and paper-making.
