The eye-level 👀 For subjects smaller than the photographer - dogs, cats, birds, children... for example - going low creates a very authentic images. Reasoning❓️ Taking pictures on eye-level also makes it easier to dissolve the barrier between viewer and subject. It also simulates human vision and generates a familiar composition. #phototips #photography #tutorial #creativity #photographytutorial

Let's talk about photos! We all take them, but what do we do with them? Do we print them out, organize them in books, or keep them stored digitally? Last month, I decided to try something new and downloaded an app to upload my photos. I just finished my January photobook and I'm thrilled to start February's edition! It's amazing how technology can help us preserve our memories. What do you prefer to do with your photos? #memories #photography #digitalstorage

I have been experimenting with third-person perspective photography and there's no comparison IMO. Don't get me wrong, first-person perspective has its place, but with chest and head cams gaining in popularity I find the first-person view is becoming mundane. Recent research published in the Journal of Social Psychological and Personality Science revealed how the perspective of photography (first-person or third-person) is determined by what the person wants to capture from the moment. The study, led by Zachary Niese from the University of Tübingen, found that individuals tend to take first-person photos when they want to document a physical experience. In contrast, third-person photos are often used to capture the deeper significance of an event. I find this to be 100% true. I made a trip down to the lake and found some bass feeding along the mixing line. Clean run-off water was draining from a culvert beneath the road. This third-person shot explains a lot without saying any more. #keithlusher #outdoorphotography #photography

An old favourite image of mine, taken 9 years ago when a colleague and I took students on a street photography trip to Margate Old Town, teaching them about composition, angles, lighting and observation. Of course I couldn't help but take part as well. #streetphotography #composition #observation #education #photography

Just got my hands on #CaptureOne [downloaded and installed the 30-day trial version], and I’m loving it so far! Super similar to what I’ve been using, but I have to say—it might just be a step up! The learning curve has been smooth sailing, too. Here's is a quick edit I made with one of the sample photos included with the software: #photoenhancement #photoediting #photography #captureone #digitalphotography
