Expecting perfect medical institutions is like expecting perfect pregnancies, perfect childhood, perfect parents, perfect journalists. All are unreasonable. The issue is firstly not whether the report was done promptly, but whether the doctor responsible for the patient actually looked at the scan that was available. In the first case, failure to action the scan request can be as simple as a misplaced piece of paper or an inadvertent delete through keyboard action. Every large system with hundreds of thousands of interactions a day will have lots of these, fortunately most are inconsequential. In the second case, did the ward doctors look at the scans as it's their job, or just wait for a report which is not infallible?

👥 Every patient who decides to embark on a course of treatment in one of our #rehabilitation clinics in Italy or abroad is looked after by a case manager right from the start. 👩⚕️ The 𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒓 is a specialist #doctor who creates a treatment protocol after the initial consultation and careful diagnosis and supervises all treatment until the patient reaches the set objectives. 🎯 Once the treatment has been decided, the doctor assigns the patient to the rehabilitation specialists but is still responsible for their treatment path and monitors the path both via ongoing updates with the rehabilitation experts and through regular check-ups.
