Gentle reminder. School is about to start and I want to ask you a favor. Sit down with your child for 5 minutes and explain to them that there's never a reason to tease someone about their size, weight, skin color, family life, or the things they like. Explain that there's nothing wrong with wearing the same shoes every day. Tell them that a worn backpack brings the same dreams as a new one. Teach them not to exclude anyone because they are "different". Explain that teasing hurts and that school is for LEARNING, NOT for competing or spreading negativity. Remind them that some children don't go home to a loving family, so it's important to be kind. Everything starts at home! #BackToSchool #StopBullying #TeachKindness #Inclusion #ParentingTips #EmpathyEducation #RespectDifferences #PositiveSchoolEnvironment #AntiBullying #CharacterEducation #SocialEmotionalLearning #SchoolKindness #TeachingTolerance #RaisingCompassionateKids #NoToTeasing #EveryoneMatters #SpreadLoveNotHate

Through an activity, Rangeet teaches children about a few child activists around the world and the causes they fight or fought for. But that's not all! The activity also teaches children that with their rights come responsibilities. So, each one of us has a duty towards all life on earth including the voiceless or those who don’t have as loud a voice as us – animals, nature, people with disabilities, the elderly, etc. 📌 Want to check out the activity? Click here: https://lnkd.in/dRdzUWWM 📌 It’s important to find ways to bring joy to the act of learning. Interested in doing that too? 👂 Helping kids with listening comprehension challenges involves keen observation and proactive steps. Start by closely watching their behavior to spot patterns. 🧐 Get their hearing checked by a healthcare provider to rule out issues. If it's not hearing-related, collaborate with their teacher 🍎 to explore classroom strategies. From home techniques 🏠 to classroom adjustments 🎒, finding the right support is crucial. Consider a school evaluation 📝 for a comprehensive plan tailored to your child's needs! #ListeningSkills #ChildDevelopment #EducationSupport #LDAWE #Community #Inclusion #SchoolHelp

On this International Day for People with Disabilities #IDPD23, let's remember to recognise the many talents and attributes of individuals with different abilities, rather than DISabilities. As a society, it is our collective responsibility to ensure that inclusion is not just a strategic pillar or policy initiative. Inclusion should bring true meaning to lives lived by those who need and deserve it. #inclusion #diversity #equality

Have you heard about reverse inclusion? It's an approach where children (without disabilities) join special education classrooms or programs. By learning together, all students benefit from a more inclusive environment. They build mutual understanding, respect, and strong social connections. Imagine the power of students of all abilities supporting and learning from each other! Let’s support organisations working towards Quality Education for All and foster inclusive education for everyone. https://lnkd.in/d72xNWAA #QualityEducation #SustainabilityForAll #INDIAdonates #InclusiveEducation

Integrated Schools is nearly a 100% volunteer organization, and we all do this work because we can’t see the ways White supremacy and discrimination harm so many in our country and then simply sit down and be silent. We must take action and put our values into practice. We must be more than words, aspirations, and platitudes. We must do the work, but this work is just that…work, and we need your help. From joining our Caregiver Connection to our social media team to our administrative team, there are so many ways you can join us and volunteer with us. We work with each volunteer to customize their schedule so that supporting us fits within your work/life balance, and we customize your volunteer work to the areas of the organization that you feel the most passionate about. Whether you have a large amount of time or only a little, every minute of support helps us and helps end discrimination and segregation. So if you want to put your values into action, please volunteer with us. The gap in accessing quality education for Narok children with special abilities is a major problem because of the inadequate infrastructures, insufficient training for teachers, societal stigma and discrimination, which result in the exclusion and marginalization of the special needs children. Empiris Bridge Builders will launch Empiris Tusome Program a project that aims to create a school atmosphere where people understand, learn and discuss diversity for the purpose of inclusion, building equality and breaking barriers. Through advocacy for Inclusive policies, capacity building of educators, the increase of awareness about matter, fostering collaboration and empowering people, we commit to achieving a learning environment whereby all students including those who are living with disabilities can have access to quality education and they are able to thrive thus, closure of the gap between dream and reality for children with disabilities in Narok County. Come let's impact the community together.
