We definitely didn’t have any Simone Biles-level competition, but our team still gave it their all at the Denver Office Olympics—and had a blast doing it! Big thanks to our Culture Club for making it all happen. 🏅 #TeamSpekit

I am doing writing exercises, so buckle up :)
(context in the original post - not clickbait, but I am sharing opportunities from both organizers and ticket buyers perspective so separate-ish)
Event fam with who're producing these big tent industry events with wide topic coverage - my two cents.
If your event attendees are on small teams, but only one or two titles coming through, it may be worth exploring opportunities to provide value to other members of their team.
What does an integrated, cost effective, "team retreat" experience look like for your event? Turn 1 attendee into 4 or 10(!)?
There is an opportunity - one that may have been tried and failed plenty of times, but it can't ALWAYS fail, right?
Lean into the package pricing for teams. Diversify your content and engagement strategies for the top 4-5 titles most commonly seen on these teams, nurture sub communities within your attendees based on responsibilities on the ground level of a business.
Create the space, be smart about programming and scheduling, and you create a completely unique, but clearly integrated experience between the teams on their retreats and you, their host, in ways that capitalize on what already exists with your primary event. Your event might be the setting of their favorite team story.
The margin might be a bit tighter on this type of experience for 5-10% of ticket holders, but guest count, floor time, and face time are meaningful metrics for vendors and these groups of attendees are in go-mode.
Also - go slow and don't wreck your event by leaning to hard into this to quickly. Respect what you've got working for you.
And let the folks who want to piggyback piggyback in peace if they so chose :-)

If you have a small, distributed team (<10), and you want to bring folks together IRL, find an established industry event that your whole team could benefit from attending. Carving out time before/during/after that event and hosting a team retreat that piggybacks on the established event could be a way to maximize your budget while checking off some of the key goals of getting together in-person.

We’re very friendly and a little bit daft so you can relax and be creative to make learning more fun for every human 🧡💚
Is your team silly?
Is your team daft?
Does your team have a laugh?
These are all things that we inspire here at Yorkshire Team Building - we aim to get you laughing together, as it is evident that once we laugh together we relax together, and that's where the magic starts...

🎯 Celebrating success is always worth it, and it's important to reward the contributions of every team member behind that success. Last week, we celebrated hitting our 90-day business growth goals with a team archery session and a pub meal 🍻 What better way to celebrate hitting targets than hitting targets?
A big shoutout to Ringinglow Archery for an amazing experience. If you're looking for a great team activity, we highly recommend them!
Hoping Team GB bring home some archery medals this Olympics—it's harder than it looks! 😅
