Happy New Year 🎆 🥳 - May 2024 bring you 🌹🌹🌹 Decided to go Rose Parade on a whim. Been a few times before. As a kid and then when my little guy was very young. What a spectacle 🤯 A few things popped in my head while there that make for good lessons for a new year: 1. 🖼️Little Details Matter: Each float is like a pointalist painting, a single flower may seem insignificant but the collection of them creates a beautiful piece of art. Details are an important elements of creative expressions. 2. 👏Team Work Makes the Dream Work: The amount of work that goes into each float is staggering and is unquestionably a team effort. 3. 😲Input Bias: we are often impressed by the sheer volume of how something is created. Example, if someone said they spent two full weeks putting together a resource you will be curious, simply because the amount of effort put into create it. 4. 👑Concept is King: people often say content is king, but I believe concept is king. Meaning when you create a category or design a concept that is so unique, it will likely attract more interest. How many parades do you know of that are completely made up of floats made of flowers? 5. ⚡️Energy is Contagious: the louder, the fans cheering got the more animated and into it. The people in the parade got. They feed off of the crowds energy. Creating an atmosphere that allows for this is extremely helpful!

From California.com: Street art in Los Angeles transcends the traditional gallery space, bringing art to the public in a way that is accessible and unmediated. This democratization of art allows for a unique intersection of voices, from renowned international artists to local creatives, each contributing to the city's visual narrative. The murals, graffiti, and installations that adorn L.A.'s urban landscape are more than mere aesthetics; they are stories told on the canvas of the city itself, reflecting the dreams, struggles, and resilience of its inhabitants. The cultural significance of L.A.'s street art can be traced back to the Chicano Art Movement of the 1960s and 70s, where murals became a form of political expression and cultural affirmation for the Mexican-American community. Today, this tradition continues as street art addresses a plethora of themes, from social justice and environmental concerns to the celebration of cultural heritage and personal identity.
