We believe in the power of education and the curiosity sparked by a good book. To celebrate National Read Across America Day in March, our team volunteered at early learning centers to share the joy of reading with children in our community. A big shoutout to our dedicated associates who made this day memorable and helped instill the magic of storytelling in the hearts of the next generation.

In a recent edition of Exchange Every Day dedicated to embracing families, communities, and culture, Monica Wells, our family and community program administrator, shared her deep connection to families and communities and how it positively impacts children's success. "Strong, authentic relationships between our families, students, and educators are key. We must speak life into our students, cheer them on, teach them the skills, and provide the tools they need to be prepared for the future. We must show examples of the power, importance, and necessity of community." Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gc7ur8uu

This morning I had a conversation with an organization in Detroit that supports youth's social-emotional learning through learning equestrian skills. During the conversation, I asked the development director if she had considered licensing their curriculum because of its specificity around supporting urban Black and Brown youth through the power of equestrianism. She hadn't thought about it..until then. Here are a few reasons to consider licensing your curriculum: 💙 Scale Impact: Licensing allows the program's curriculum to reach a wider audience, potentially benefiting more youth and communities. 💚 Education Equity: Sharing a successful curriculum can help bridge educational disparities by providing high-quality resources to schools or organizations that may not have the capacity to develop their own. 💛 Enhanced Reputation: Licensing a curriculum reflects positively on the program's expertise and quality, boosting its reputation in the education and afterschool community. 💜 Resource Sharing: Licensing can foster collaboration and resource sharing within the education sector, creating a network of organizations working toward common goals. Need help walking through the licensing process? Reach out! My name is Dr. Asia Lyons my firm, Lyons Educational Consulting works with youth-serving organizations!
