Here's how my 1st year of law school is going like -

On the first day of law school, as everyone , I was also nervous, shy at approching mates and what not.
Gradually, law school automatically makes you confident and you start growing and feeling it. From hesitating to speak in front of the class to giving endless presentations, participating in Group discussions, debates it all feels fun and comforting now.

Being in 1st year, it's always hard to participate in moot Courts as you don't have a hint about anything . You are totally clueless. From making of memorials to presenting the case to the judge it all seems too difficult.
But the way to learn all the things that you don't is to take the step towards them. I participated in Intra - moot court Competition and Intra mock trial Advocacy competition ( even though we didn't qualified ) . The experience gained and knowledge gained was superb. Also competing with seniors is hella fun. Both the Competitions were based on Criminal Law, being in 1st year you have no clue about IPC, CRPC, ( Now BNS, BNSS) , but that was the challenge , we learned them. In total it was all worth it.

From the day one, students learn all the time, in the class room or outside the class room, it's all an ocean of learnings.
From me learning how to behave , to how to talk, to how to approach, it has been wonderful.
As the time goes, we become better, we don't do that on purpose , we get adapted to it. That's the beauty of law school.

5moThis is a simple and very accurate timeline for law school apps. With the LSAT, getting as high of a score as possible helps SO much. I didn't fully prepare for the test as well as I should have due to extenuating circumstances (reminder to give yourself grace as well), but strongly recommend that prospective law students focus a lot of attention on that. The test is not perfect and by no means is a reflection of whether or not you can succeed in law school, but it can help immensely with admissions and scholarships. Great post Spencer!
