Tec D Malaysia's Team Building Event in Melaka! It’s never too late to share great experiences! We recently had a fantastic team-building event for our Shared Services Office in Malaysia, held in the beautiful city of Melaka. The 2-day, 1-night event was a wonderful opportunity for us to connect and bond. One highlight was Coach Heidy’s "Maze Game," where we had to navigate from one end of the maze to the other using only team instructions and non-verbal cues like "Meow" and "TecD." If we took a wrong step, we had to return to the start and correct our direction. This game really underscored the importance of communication. Despite the challenge of using unconventional signals, we managed to complete the maze, demonstrating that effective communication is key to productivity and team success. Key Takeaways from the Maze Game: 🗝 Communication: Using only "Meow" and "TecD" to navigate showed that clear communication is essential. Despite the challenge of using unconventional signals, we managed to complete the maze, demonstrating that effective communication is key to productivity and team success. 🗝 Collaboration: Although the game felt competitive, we realized that helping each other could have led to quicker success. Working together and supporting one another can achieve common goals more efficiently. 🗝 Trust and Advice: Team members initially overlooked advice from those who had completed the maze. This highlighted the importance of trusting and seeking guidance from experienced colleagues, which can be valuable for project success. Additionally, running 🏃♀️around Jonker Street was a fun way to burn some calories. Overall, it was a fantastic team-building experience, and I’m looking forward to more events like this in the future! Early last week, I involved in a workshop for system development for a project. A real eye-opener for me. I was given the opportunity to work with various teams from various countries with different cultural background, technology, technical skill and for sure personality. Johor Team - we are a bunch of people who are determined to make things work. We always do. We think things through, and accommodating is definitely our superpower. Batam team - they are placed in a difficult situation as the receiving site. But, they are super humble and absorbed things like a sponge. If we are accommodating type, I think Batam is already a super host. They listened to all our voices and provide us with the best workable solution that can fit all the sites. Singapore team - clear minded and fast. Once they are clear on what they want, they will make the move. Start first and build up from there. American - they need to be convinced before they can be onboard. Our team admire on how vocal they can be. They asked questions that we are not so willing to ask. Once we got their buy in, they will start working and pouring idea right away. Germans - who can challenge them in term of the technicality? We felt tiny and mesmerized listening to their technical presentation. They brought topic which we couldn't even think of and surprise surprise - with a proposal too. Seeing them, how they work and how my team, works - I am inspired. With confident, I can say I will find another version of me a year from now. Bring it on 2024!

Visited this country, Singapore almost few times every year. The multi racial culture, food, tradition and even street name have many similarity with Penang island of Malaysia where i'm from. Both cities were part of the Straits Settlement under British and we inherited many practices, system and governance from the British colonisation. In business, there are many local and multinational companies here that have their setup or factory in Penang. We share common pool of customers but in different specialisation. Many companies make Singapore as their regional hub for finance and marketing while Penang as their manufacturing centre. Many Singaporean or Penangites have their close blood relatives in either of these two cities. This is how the 2 cities are special. Aenon Solutions being a company start up and built its business in Penang Malaysia. Many of our clients have make Singapore as their strategic regional setup. Our team are always looking for the right minded Singapore companies to work with and collaborate. Making our different geographical present to become our common advantage. #rfid,#rfidsolutions,#automation,#Digitalpenang,#Singapore,#aenonsolutions, #smartcabinet

Spending time with your team at the office is as crucial as out of the office. It is one of the biggest realizations I had when I visited Malaysia with my employees last year. In the group, most people were junior employees who worked with me in a team. They are formal and restrictive to me at office because I am their manager. They used to keep a lot of things in them. As I was a senior, they even remained scared during the feedback sessions. But as we went for travel, they opened up, mindset changes happened and honest conversations occurred. They shared all their suppressed stuff, and I learned each of their true characters. We enjoyed the trip so much due to the peaceful environment, joyful local people, and beauty of nature. Irrespective of age, position, or choices, we embraced each other’s company throughout the Malaysia tour. The bonding is the best part of the tour which we built in only 5 days. Like they say, relationships matter most when it comes to success! Do you agree? Have you built relationships both inside the office and outside office? #people #culture #mindset #travel #learning
