🎉 We're Live! 🎉 I'm thrilled to announce the launch of School of Grit - a new social platform dedicated to our active service members and veterans. What It’s All About: School of Grit is built with a mission to connect and support those who serve through financial education and lifestyle content. It's a space designed for sharing knowledge, fostering personal growth, and building a supportive community that understands the unique experiences of service life and beyond. Backstory: While studying at The Ohio State University in Columbus, I met Corey Reiser a driven Army veteran and founder of Early Riser Stays, LLC. Our initial meeting didn't involve School of Grit; that idea came to light months later, after I had graduated and moved back to NJ. It was then that Corey, inspired by his dedication to service, presented his vision for a platform dedicated to aiding veterans and service members. Recognizing my passion for technology and community building, he brought me on as the lead engineer. Despite relocating away from Columbus, our collaboration and the shared goal to extend a helping hand to those who've served have remained strong, bridging all distances between us.. My Role in This Vision: Brought on board by Corey Reiser my task was to bring his vision to life through technology. As the software engineer behind School of Grit, I dedicated myself to constructing a platform that reflects our mission—developing the backend infrastructure, crafting a user-friendly design, and executing the deployment, all within the AWS ecosystem. It was paramount to ensure that every element of the site facilitated community building and resource sharing in an intuitive and engaging manner. What Lies Ahead: The launch is merely the beginning. School of Grit is set to evolve into a vibrant, supportive space where shared experiences and knowledge foster a sense of belonging and progress.
