There’s something I do before every Franchise I visit. Whenever we’re on the road, like we were this week for annual planning meetings in Phoenix, I love getting out there and seeing our Franchise Partners in action. So early this morning we hopped in an Uber to go visit our Phoenix 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise. En route, I googled to check their Google rating and reviews… And this was a first: A perfect 5 star record. 11,900 reviews and nothing less than a 5. I almost wondered for a moment if it could be a mistake. But then I attended their morning meeting and it was clear it was 100% legit! Every morning the team talks about how to wow their customers. And the leaders talk about how to take care of their people. It was inspring to see the care and focus on this proven winning forumula! So, practicing the belief we hold so near and dear…“inspect what you expect”. I was wowed by our Phoenix team (love the photo proudly celebrating their perfect 5 out of 5!) And Jeremy Mummert thank you for your ‘It’s All About People’ leadership!!

Join us in the franchise business where we're all about the formula for success and the formula to win. Just like Travis Kelce's emotional chest-beating speech before the Super Bowl, let's get fired up about our winning strategy! Interestingly, the night before the Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, followed Kelce’s speech. While Mahomes wasn't as awe inspiring as Kelce, he was clear with his words, which went something like this, “We can do this. All we need to do is be us. Just be us. Don't go around trying to be a hero. Don't try to make any great plays. Don't try to do anything special. Just follow the system.” These are exactly the words you’ll hear from a good franchise system. Following the formula absolutely makes superstars, both in the National Football League and in all good franchise brands. Remember just like football teams, not all franchises are good or even great. But when you find a good or great franchise, and follow the system, you’re on your path to become a superstar. If there's a business that you want to beat your chest about, please come to my upcoming Question and Answer session? Go to bizbuyown.com. I'll see you there and always remember that all my services are no cost to you. #ownyourpathforward #franchisesystem #superstar #winningstrategy

If you are evaluating any organization, especially a franchise, a good place to start is at the top and evaluate who is leading. What you see in this picture is Dan Reese who is the President of the MilkShake Factory. He is a leader that is worth emulating. If you look closer at the picture, you will see that we are both "glowing" (aka sweating) as this was just minutes before doors opened to the Grand Opening of MilkShake Factory Pleasant Grove in 100-degree heat. Despite being a huge part in orchestrating and leading MilkShake Factory to the point in becoming a franchise, he is NOT the type of leader that loafs around gladhanding and absorbing credit, but reflects as much of it on others while rolling up his sleeves and finding where he can help and support to create success. He also doesn't sit in an ivory tower and dole out advice on how to be successful with the franchise, but he put his own money, time, and effort on the line and is juggling his day job as a franchisor with opening his own store as a franchisee, so that he will more fully understand the issues, opportunities, concerns, and problems that may arise for many that will join the franchise. He is in the trenches and "living the dream" alongside the many (just under 100 official franchise locations sold since franchise-inception a year ago) other franchisees aiming to build an incredible brand across the country. It's clear that he believes in what he is doing, and I'm honored to have my own small part in it. So, if you've been searching through franchise after franchise and are still looking for one that you can trust its leadership, I cannot recommend Dan Reese enough, along with the rest of the founding family and rest of the leadership team! #milkshakefactory #leadership #example #thankyoudan

Navigating the Franchise Landscape: FDD vs. Real Insights! In this insightful snippet, we unravel the critical aspect of franchise decision-making: understanding the delicate balance between scrutinizing the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) and seeking real-world validation from fellow franchise owners. Often, candidates fixate on financials, asking for the FDD right away, even if they're not entirely familiar with its intricacies. However, as Vicktoria White Healy of SUPPLY POINTe astutely points out, the FDD, while essential, is not the complete picture. It's a regulatory document that outlines necessary information, but it doesn't delve into the day-to-day realities of franchise ownership. So, how should candidates approach this dilemma? Victoria emphasizes the need for a holistic approach. While financials are crucial, the 'day in the life' insights from existing franchise owners offer a priceless, real-world perspective. Ready to unravel the intricacies of franchise decision-making? Dive into the full episode of 'Conquer the Mind' for a comprehensive guide to making informed franchise choices! Protect Your Business with Expert Franchise Reviews | Streamline Your International Trade Compliance Efforts | Get Professional Advice on Regulating Your Growing Franchise System
Taking the Franchise realm by storm, Delight Restaurant Group, steered by the dynamic Krumholz duo, has made waves yet again with the acquisition of 65 Wendy's joints. A move that further solidifies their position among the most influential franchisees in the nation. In a business environment where many are cautious due to increased interest rates and valuation worries, it's quite profound how Delight Restaurant Group remains resolute in their pursuit for growth. Intriguingly, this continued trend of private equity (PE) acquisitions of multi-unit franchise operators is changing the dynamics of the franchising industry. These well-funded PE firms are now not only taking ownership of the franchisors but are also progressively acquiring franchisees, contributing to an evolution in the franchise landscape. With Delight Restaurant Group's latest acquisition, its bold portfolio now boasts 226 restaurants and an impressive $500 million in sales. Their strategic roadmap seems to be built on inorganic growth, clearly demonstrated by their history of successful acquisitions from both franchisors and fellow franchisees. This trend begs the question - how will the proliferation of large, well-funded players on both sides of the franchise equation impact the industry? While some may view this as a shift in power dynamics, others could be watching the creation of a new era of collaboration that might redefine how the franchise industry operates. One thing is for certain though, the franchise industry is heading for an interesting ride, and Delight Restaurant Group is seated firmly in the driver's seat. What are your thoughts on this evolving scenario? #franchise #franchising
