Want to eliminate 90% of the problems you stress anxiously about? Ask yourself this simple question... "Do I have the resources required to solve this problem?" If the answer is yes, then you have no problem, you have an inconvenience! ❌ Did some project at work go south? ✅ You'll have more time and projects in the future. ❌ Did you forget to finish that assignment? ✅ You have more hours you can work today and tomorrow. ❌ Is your side hustle not staying afloat? ✅ Cut back on your spending and funnel more money to it. This isn't to say that there are no factors that could make examples like this serious issue. What I want to convey is typically we think of inconveniences as problems. In reality, if you have access to resources that fix it, it's just a bump in the road. If you have the antidote are you really sick? Think about this the next time something worries you. On National G&T Day it seems appropriate to talk about self-care. A lot of what we see online would have us believe it's all about kicking back and relaxing with a drink of our choice each evening. And while that's lovely there's a lot more we small business owners could be doing to lighten the mental load. When was the last time you took a step back and looked at all the tasks you do regularly in your business? It's an exercise worth doing - take 10 minutes to write down the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly tasks that you have to do to keep the business running. Then ask - how many of those do you have to do yourself? What can you delegate? How much more productive could you be if someone else were doing those things for you? It's the first step to reducing overwhelm and making your business work for you. What daily, weekly or monthly task would you love to offload? #yourbusinessmatters #thoughtsfortuesday #bedford
