New research alert! Prof. Justus Ndukaife (Ph.D.) and Chuchuan Hong, Ph.D., have developed an innovative plasmonic nanoteeezer to more precisely and quickly trap nanoscale objects like cancerous, nanosized particles. Pictured is an illustration and analysis of Ndukaife and Hong’s solution: the GET system. It’s a new technology that stands for “Geometry-induced Electrohydrodynamic Tweezers” which enables rapid and parallel trapping of extracellular vesicles near plasmonic cavities in seconds without harmful heating effects.
