Ball Sweep! This simple activity is great for working on a number of skills, such as midline crossing and projected actions! Just grab a broom and some balls and you're ready to play! Have a partner roll balls towards the "sweeper" and the sweeper has to move the broom across their body (not forwards) to hit the oncoming balls. Decrease the challenge by using larger balls, such as beach balls, and move at a slower pace. Increase the challenge by using different sized ball and having them roll at rapid fire! Add in themes to make it even more fun! Are you a hockey player scoring goals? Is your home being invaded by slime that you have to knock away? Have fun! This video depicts a person standing and using a broom to sweep in a lateral fashion to "sweep" the balls being rolled towards them away. #spiralfoundation #sensoryprocessing #sensoryprocessingdifferences #spd #sensoryhealth #sensoryprocessingresearch #occupationaltherapy #OT #OTactivity #pediatricOTactivity #athomeOT

Ring Toss Warm-Up: Hand-Eye Coordination, Carnival-Style Today’s reel showcases a fun and surprisingly difficult hand-eye coordination warm-up with a partner. One partner stands behind a line with a stack of disc cones, while the other is a few meters away, holding a mini hurdle with the spokes standing upright. The challenge? Partner A throws the disc cones like frisbees, and Partner B tries to catch it on the spokes of the hurdle. Sounds easy, right? Well, it turned out to be WAY harder than expected, so we set the win condition at just two successful catches before moving on to the next part of our obstacle course. To keep it thermogenic, after each throw or catch attempt, both partners had to run, shuffle, or backpedal around a big cone behind them, so that ticked the box on incorporating a few volleyball-specific movements. This is a great addition to any warm-up library when you’re low on equipment. Disc Cone Stacking Challenge: Fun, Reactive, and Volleyball-Specific! 🏐🔴🟡🟢🔵 Today's warm-up is all about quick thinking, competition, and building isometric strength. Each athlete faces off in a one-on-one battle with four different colored cones in front of them. When I call out two colors, the first color must end up on the bottom of the stack and the second on top. It’s trickier than it sounds, and the brain has to work fast! To make it more volleyball-specific and thermogenic, athletes hold positions like lunges, squats, planks, or hollow rocks while waiting for the color call. After each round, winners move up the ladder and losers move down, so the best keep competing against the best. It’s a fun, challenging way to start practice with lots of laughs and some serious competition. Want to learn how to improve Your Short Game in 10 Minutes? Work on your speed!! Speed is important for long putts - this makes sure you are setting yourself up close enough to the hole to minimize room for mistakes. Speed is also important for short putts - you need to be able to control your speed in order to pick a line for the ball to go into the hole. I recommend putting a 10, 20, 30, and 40-foot putt on the practice green before you go out to play. That way, you can develop a feel for the green speed and have a reference of how far your stroke needs to go back for each distance putt. Comment below if you have any questions on how to develop more feel! #ShortGameMastery #PuttingPrecision #GolfSkills

ONE SECRET TO GETTING YOUR LOWER BODY ENGAGED … YOUR FOOT DISTANCE! The distance between your Heels gets your Lower Body involved. From your Starting Position, with more distance between your Heels, your Front Knee naturally goes behind your Front Hip, your Hips fail to engage, and you deliver the ball to your target with your Throwing Arm alone. However, to get your Lower Body engagement to send your ball to your target with uncanny regularity, the distance between your Heels must be one baseball width. When you put this solution together with the 20+ others, you’ll find your pitch going directly to your target or your instruction is FREE. ⚾️🚀 Learn the 3 Lift Leg Styles for Pitchers 🦵⚾️ 👟 1. Quick Lift & Flex: This classic move is all about speed! Lift and go, making it super fast to start your pitch. Perfect for getting that initial push. But watch out, it might make it easier to lose your form and “fly open.” 🚀 🏋️♂️ 2. Extended Lift: Love leaning back and feeling that stretch? This style’s for you! It helps keep your hips in check, making it tough to swing open too soon. The catch? It might slow down getting that momentum rolling. 🐢 🇯🇵 3. Internally Rotated Lift (The Japanese Secret): A mix of speedy start and keeping your form tight. Turning your leg inward helps you zoom into action without swinging open. The best part? It’s a mix of quick and controlled. Just make sure your hips are flexible enough to handle it! 🔄 🤔 Which one sounds like your pitching soulmate? Quick and eager, balanced and controlled, or the flexible hybrid? Your perfect pitch starts with the perfect lift. Test them out and find your match! 🎯 #BaseballTips #PitchPerfect #TopVelocity #PitchingMechanics #YouthBaseball #FindYourStyle #PitchingPower

Poor Putting Distance Control At The Masters Masters greens are among the most difficult to putt in the game. A player must not only read the green properly, but they also must start the putt on the proper line at the proper speed. Line and distance control are two separate tasks. Focusing on guiding a putt on a tricky breaking line can cause a player to lose focus on delivering the proper speed for the read. Every golfer has experience leaving a putt short or hitting well beyond the hole because their focus was on the line rather than the speed of the putt. Our focus can only be on one task at a time, and it takes a moment to switch between line and distance. It can be similar to reading an incoming text while driving. Focus on the road can be lost for the equivalent of the length of a football field. DynAlign allows a player the advantage of single task focusing by separating the two tasks into an alignment phase and a force delivery phase. Learn how to make more putts and avoid three putting with DynAlign dynamic preshot alignment. https://lnkd.in/gnGb-kn #PuttPerfection #MasteringThePutt #SmoothPuttingStrokes #PrecisionPutts #PuttingMastery #SinkThePutt #PuttingGameStrong #PuttLikeAPro #PerfectingThePutter #PuttConfidence #PuttingSkills #PutterPower #PuttingTips #ImproveYourPutt #PuttTraining #PutterPerfection #ConsistentPutting #PuttingPrecision #BetterPutting #PuttGameStrong #PuttingGoals #yips #PuttingGoals #ConsistentPutting #PuttConfidence #PuttAndWin #BetterPutting #PuttingPractice #PuttPerfection #DynAlign #PGATour #puttinggrip #puttingstance#puttingtrainingaids #puttingdrills #popstroke #golfpodcast #putterfitting #JackNicklausputting #TigerWoodsPutting #MoeNorman #BrysonDeChambeau #JustinRose
