"We propose a novel cognitive framework in which cognitive agents interact with their environment by assigning meta-tags which serve to collect related objects via stereotypes. Associated to each cognitive object is a museum, whose properties are enshrined by exhibits which may be visited by agents. Cognitive agents (consciously or unconsciously) curate museums in order to perfect them as self-representative stereotypes." https://lnkd.in/gKK9mwJ4

Founder and CEO @ Splended I Tech & Dev & AI Skills I Leading Learning I Coaching On a mission to build skills and confidence
One of the most fascinating aspects of art is its ability to evoke different meanings and interpretations from the viewer. During my recent visit to the Didrichsen Art Museum , I came across a piece called "Dialogue" that really captured this essence. The analysis of the piece emphasized the idea that there is no way to not interpret what we see in art, and that this interpretation requires interaction between the viewer and the piece. Have you come across any pieces lately that have left you contemplating their meaning? #interpretation #dialogue

If your first instinct is to dismiss anonymous accounts like changethemuseum, please read E.Y. Zipris’s analysis. This is a prime example of what the museum field can learn from larger patterns, rather than attacking or belittling individual voices (anonymous or not).
In the mail now and online soon! My article for the American Alliance of Museums Exhibition journal examines the effect of online activism and what museums can and should be learning from these posts. The genesis of the article began in Professor Ioana Literat's class and evolved under her guidance. This article first appeared in the journal Exhibition (Fall 2024) vol. 43, no. 2, and is reproduced with permission. https://lnkd.in/g22UeMYi

1/2: Title: Echoes of the Past: Cognitive and Spiritual Influences from Museum Artifacts Q: How do museums curate artifacts to enhance both cognitive and spiritual experiences? A: Museums carefully curate exhibits to narrate a coherent story, often placing artifacts in context with detailed descriptions and thematic exhibitions. This curation enhances understanding and engagement, allowing visitors to not only learn but also to experience a deeper connection with the artifacts’ cultural and spiritual significance. In summary, museum artifacts significantly impact both the cognitive and spiritual aspects of human experience. They enhance memory and understanding through their historical and aesthetic value and connect individuals to a deeper, often spiritual narrative that transcends time and personal experience.

#sonicart #contemporaryart #ZERO #kyma #soundart 2024.02.04 Exhibition 0 1 at Museum EICAS: ZERO = language Nonversation Two video screens, each with an alphabetical circle. The circles are run through with so-called Brownian Walks. This is a way of randomly going down the letters as found phonetic objects. The letters are named on one side by Roland Kuit and on the other by artist Karin Schomaker. The trajectories of randomness can be followed in these circles. It is a process of discovering random synchronicity. That is where the found meaning lies. https://lnkd.in/eFUwCNyh
