At Spooler, we're huge fans of location media: storytelling pinned to a certain latitude and longitude that, with the help of the internet and GPS, plays back at just the right moment. Location media has been around for years, and many talented people create more of it every day. But most potential listeners have never heard of it, let alone tried it. Today we released OSLO, an open standard publishing format for location stories, to help jumpstart this promising medium. https://lnkd.in/gtNyTGdH

Should I or should I not be an active Editor of my company, NetNews,sm on the NetNewsNetwork.net platform. Today, in the media world, it seems that the new trend is for the creator, owner, founder, buyer, etc. of media companies (and other company types as well), to have an active Public Role in their companies by posting opinions, statements, etc. I may join in as well. As the Founder/Inventor/Creator/Builder of a new industry of a News Podcasting Network, within a new industry not yet formed, again news podcasting networks, I see and understand a lot via years of study that others do not see. For instance, I see what I think is the best route and future for Fox News to continue in the "old stream media production/distribution" and converge it into the "new stream media production/distribution". Ie, how Fox can somewhat seamlessly trend from television content broadcasting to screen content podcasting and retain a dominance in the news industry. Trust me, this is hard stuff to figure out the future before it becomes apparent to others. Actually the only way to do this is the way I have been doing it, ie, start a new news company following the few parallels what is an actual evolving new industry. Ie, a new company evolving in a new industry. Some sort of double whammy here! Likewise, the massive amount of news I know of, synthesizing trends, business, political, world events, allows me a unique view of issuing editorial opinions on news items. In closing building a new company in what is a new industry (by the way doing a great job at it) is very unusual, and gives me unique and inventive type of business information. It's especially unique because it is the evolution of the news industry which effects everyone (an important element - the 'industry'). I am enjoying the journey, but it may be time to formally become the 'public' Editor of NetNewsCorp,sm under my name Hugh Scott. I want to. Should I or shouldn't I? Hugh Scott, CEO/Founder/Editor/Owner - NetNewsCorp,sm - NetNewsNetwork.net/about

In just 15 years, we've witnessed a fascinating evolution in the digital content space. As the creator economy matures, we're seeing a convergence of two distinct categories: 🟣Talent: Akin to Hollywood actors, focused on entertainment 🟣Experts: Authors, course creators, and speakers, delivering value-based content What's your take on this trend? #CreatorEconomy

Good morning, Why complicate things? A simple, one-take video on a relevant topic, with no editing and using one of the frames from the video as a thumbnail, is performing well on the channel. This unpolished style resonates with YouTube's current trends. It might be premature to draw definitive conclusions, but I've observed similar patterns on my Danish #youtube channel. So, I think it's a good idea to incorporate less polished raw content into your release schedule. This approach is cheaper and easier to produce, and it offers a refreshing variation for your audience. They'll connect with you on a different level and on the right topic. #youtube #trends2024 #videoproduction
