🌏 Competitive freeriding is truly becoming a global phenomenon. ⛷ It all begins with the riders themselves, and the Sports Pyramid emphasizes the journey a rider can embark on, from grassroots series to competing against top world riders. 🏂 This past winter, we registered more than 8,500 licensed riders worldwide, hailing from 71 different countries. ↗ As of now, we've accumulated a total of 255 events across our different tours. 🤝 A substantial combined effort is carried out by all our co-organizers, host resorts, and partners to advance the sport. 👀 New discussions are already underway to initiate events in new markets and continue providing freeride competitions to enthusiasts in a safe and coherent ecosystem. 🙏 Thanks to all those contributing to the ever-growing galaxy that is the Freeride World Tour. #fwt #sports #development

I think this is a good thing, PA ski area association opening membership to outdoor recreation business, everyone is becoming year-round. This will also add more power & might to the association to get somethings done or stopped. Today, the #CentralParkConservancy, in partnership with New York City Department of Transportation and NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, released the Central Park Drives Safety and Circulation Study, a report outlining 14 community-informed recommendations to improve safety and mobility on the Drives, the six-mile loop road inside the Park. https://bit.ly/3CJYgXz The year-long study, conducted by TYLin | Sam Schwartz City Solutions and commissioned by the Conservancy, is deeply informed by Park users’ experiences. This includes a survey that received more than 10,000 responses, numerous public meetings, presentations to all seven Community Boards that border the Park, and stakeholder discussions. Central Park’s Drives invite exploration and serve as a beloved recreational haven for running, walking, skating, and cycling. This report provides a roadmap with innovative solutions to ensure the Park remains an accessible, safe, and welcoming respite for all.

Today was the Masterclass "Temptations to Move" at the Sports + Vitality Hub #Breda, as part of the European Sports and Wellbeing Alliance for Municipalities (#ESWAM). Belgian, Danish, Dutch, English, French and Luxembourg representatives exchanged their knowledge and thoughts how to activate their cities and spaces. It was a real masterclass with Benjamin Billet representing the EUROPEAN NETWORK OF OUTDOOR SPORTS interacting with the delegates on the accessibility of nature and its function to active and engage citizens. Ola Mattsson from the Lokale og Anlægsfonden / The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities always brings something new to the table. We all could see the little dot and its final impact. I had the honour to kick it off with a story on the life of a tabletennis table and redefining the future of sports as the world has the power to change sport.
