European Para Championships receives extended patronage from European Paralympic Committee The European Paralympic Committee has renewed its patronage to the European Para Championships, providing crucial support in various capacities. This support includes the endorsement of the Games stamp, facilitating communication with European Paralympic Committee members, and contributing to the ongoing development of the European Para Championships across the continent. The shared goal is to host the European Para Championships every four years. Leveraging its affiliations with the International Paralympic Committee and the European Union, the European Paralympic Committee will actively promote the expansion and enhancement of the European Para Championships, not only in upcoming cycles but at least until the 2035 edition. Presently encompassing 10 sports, both the European Paralympic Committee and European Para Championships management envision a broader horizon for the Championships. Aspiring to welcome additional International Federations, if feasible within the concept, in subsequent editions in 2027, 2031, 2035, and beyond. At the 2024 Paris Games, Katie Ledecky solidified her status as a swimming legend by dominating the women’s 1500m freestyle. Ledecky, known for her long-distance prowess, finished with a time of 15:30.02, setting an Olympic record and securing her eighth career Olympic gold medal. This victory ties her with Jenny Thompson for the most Olympic golds by an American woman and matches the record of 12 total Olympic medals held by Thompson, Natalie Coughlin, and Dara Torres. Reflecting on her achievement, Ledecky expressed her gratitude to the great swimmers who inspired her journey. The race saw Ledecky leading from the start, and while she fell behind her world record pace, she maintained an Olympic record pace throughout. France’s Anastasia Kirpichnikova took silver, and Germany’s Isabel Gose won bronze. Ledecky, who also won bronze in the 400m freestyle, looks forward to the women’s 4x200m freestyle relay and the 800m freestyle, aiming to become the most decorated female U.S. Olympian in history. #KatieLedecky #Paris2024 #Olympics #Swimming #1500mFreestyle #OlympicRecord #GoldMedal #TeamUSA #OlympicGames #WomenInSports #SwimmingLegend #SportsNews#KalkineTV #FinancialNews #StockMarketUpdate #InvestmentInsights #MarketAnalysis #EconomicTrends #StockTrading #FinancialEducation #MarketOutlook #InvestingTips #MarketWatch #GlobalEconomy #StockAnalysis #FinanceTalk #EconomicNews #StocksToWatch #MarketForecast #KalkineTVShow #FinancialTalkShow #InvestmentStrategies #MarketTrends

What a privilege to share the stage with the Olympic Gold Medalist of Athens 2004 Summer Olympics, a fellow handball player of Greek National Golden Team, Grigoris Chatsatourian, who shared many many pearls of wisdom I happened to have captured on camera, sitting in the front row, and admiring his readiness to share such personal things. What struck me was his message and advice that we ought to bring the best version of ourselves every day, and to everything we do too. Whether it is giving our friends or family members a piece of advice; or tacking a work related task, we must strive to do the best we can; Grigoris believes that attitude and approach ought to become your own standards and lifestyle, and because of that your performance on the pitch will be positively impacted too. I will share a couple of more videos I captured last week at European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI) Annual Conference in Olympia in the coming days but this one reminded me of the post I did a couple of years ago on "If You Want to Change the World, Start Off by Making Your Bed", whereby the moral of the story is 'if you make your bed every morning you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride, and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another. By the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed.', said US Navy Admiral, William H. McRaven, who delivered a speech about the importance of doing the little things like making your bed, embracing the fears of life, and changing the world for generations to come (see https://lnkd.in/eW9B5eQy). Success does not happen by chance, nor can it be achieved alone; however the attitude and approach we deploy can make all the difference in the end. #EPSI #advice #experience #wisdom #pearls #attitude #success #goldmedal #olympics #athens2004 #olympia Athens 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee International Olympic Committee – IOC International Olympic Academy Helmut Höritsch European Handball Federation

Ice Baths don’t win you Gold Medals! Resources matter, but they aren't everything. The latest gear and facilities can help, but in my journey to gold in 2008 and 2016, it was my mindset and my team that made the real difference. With the Olympics just ended and the Paralympics starting next week, it’s easy for athletes to compare their resources to others. The same applies in business—too often, we focus on things that aren't important. Keep it simple. Focus on what truly matters: your mindset, your team, and the process. The outcomes will follow.
